Jim did say he won't put day one games there, but he's said a lot of things that turned out to be lies. In the quote it's said they cost 100+ million to make, Xbox has at least 20 mil. Subs, the lowest subscription is 10 bucks, which means they win 200 000 000 million a month at least. It seems pretty sustainable to me. As Netflix, Spotify and all the other services have proven, this seems to be the future. Xbox has made 4 games from their studios this gen, 2 is on PS, one is a simulator and the other a car game and yet they have almost caught up with console sales, and that's because of GamePass. And sales don't include PC and cloud clients. If they're doing so well without many games, imagine when all their studios start actually publishing their games.
Whatever happens competition is good for us all. I have both consoles and can't wait to play everything they have.
