@Cloud7794 or even just stop charging an insane amount of money for the storage. Better yet just release the proprietary code for the vita cards and let 3rd party make some cheaper ones. This and primarily this was the reason for failure of the Vita. Storage was too damn expensive.

@David187 you clearly have lived under a rock the past 20 years. Videogames have absolutely NOT stayed at the same price since the 80s. $60 gets you the base game. Want the "complete" package? Well be prepared to cough up TWICE that much, cause that's exactly what it costs to buy a full game now. So called Deluxe editions, complete editions, platinum editions all cost upwards of $100 or more and often this still isn't the complete game. These also often launch buggy and broken. So no we aren't paying the same, we are paying more for LESS.

@Carl-G Unofficial == cheap. I have bought many a Unofficial peripheral and custom item for my consoles over the years very few were of poor quality. You will have to do some research though and that's usually the part that stops people.

Look I get the optics on this and it feels kinda ***** but it's not like Remedy and 505 are some big dogs with infinite resources and/or stupidly overpaid CEOs. They may just not have the money/resources to develop a PS5 version for both SKUs. Granted it would be BETTER, but this is a lot of hate for a relatively well behaved company.

@Rob_230 Fan speed isn't a developer issue, it's a hardware one. Sony did a very bad job with the thermal paste in the PS4 and it causes it to overheat which will drive the fan speed up.

I have the new pro version which doesn't have that issue and even when I'm rapidly changing the time of day in photo mode you can barely hear the fan at all.

Games DO cost too much to make. But that's not OUR fault or problem that is a CHOICE the industry has made. This decision was made to "justify" the insane salaries and compensation that the CEOs get. "Well we spent a couple hundred mil on this game so of course we have to give me $30 million in bonuses, but yes definitely fire most of the people who actually made that game." - Bobby Kotick probably.

@amyjojj7405 The difference is that the money we are paying now isn't going to the people who created these games, who are often quite over worked, it is largely going to a handful of ridiculously over paid CEOs. What makes you think that a $10 price hike in the base price will be the only place they do that? They are already so greedy it's destructive. They don't care about us or even the industry as a whole. They will burn everything down around them to make another dollar and not give a *****.

@BalsBigBrother not counting smaller budget titles, I'm at 3 with FFVIIR, NIOH 2, and Ghost. I'll prolly get CP 2077, and there are a couple other lesser know titles I'm interested in. So yeah been an expensive year.

@neon-xxiv Understood. But even at $60 USD I buy VERY rarely. There are sales so often and so highly discounted that I buy maybe 3 new games a year out of upwards of 30-40 total games. Though I will admit I've already hit that this year with FF VIIR, NIOH 2, and now GoT.

@Severian This does not match the facts. Yes the BASE price for a game is the same as it was for the FULL game years ago. Microtransaction, loot boxes, season passes, collectors edition and more have all driven the price of games WAY up.

The answer isn't inflation, it's greed. No CEO of a gaming co or publisher in the 80s was a BILLIONAIRE. We have several now.

These games are expensive to make. Fact. What's more expensive? Far FAR more expensive? The pay of most of the publisher CEOs. The ENTIRE profits from a game is often not enough to pay the BONUS for Bobby "Satan" Kotick or Android Wilson. These companies do not exist to make games. They exist to make ONE person so rich they can't ever spend even half the money they have.

@SZRT_CIC_Ice PC games are sold cheaper because they don't have the console mark up. Console manufacturers charge more than Steam or any other PC platform.

PC still gets loot boxes and microtransactions tho. Why? Cause Bobby and Andrew need another 30 mil to go with their Billions.

@neon-xxiv I have known a friend from the 360 era in the UK and he NEVER paid as much as I or anyone else I knew in the states for new games. I know that the standard pricing is higher but it is MUCH easier to find new games at reduced price there.

@Kienda Then count yourself lucky. I have a slim and a pro and they both do it and these are just my current consoles. I've had a launch PS4 and an 1st gen pro and they also did those things. I am most definitely not alone. I have friends that have complained about these and other issues. If you check the comments others have too.

This is dumb. You don't need to hack anything to find consistent ongoing problems with PSN. All you need is a PS4 and some self loathing.

@sabaki08 No there doesn't actually. That's the problem with YouTube copyright "protection" it's often and easily abused. There is also very little you can do to fight these strikes.

@Grindagger Agreed, this "LIVE" event is primarily for generating hype not not because it serves a purpose for it to be so. Most of it is already pre-recorded anyway. Even "live gameplay" won't have any impact without the ability to examine the hardware being used. With the remote nature of this reveal they could be using anything and we have no way of knowing different.
