Re: North American PS Plus Members Can Nab inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood for Free

@BAMozzy I am of the same opinion. I absolutely did enjoy Second Son, but in terms of an overarching storyline, InFamous 1 and 2 were just jaw-droppingly incredible. I would LOVE to see Cole return in a new game, he was an awesome protagonist. If a remaster package was released, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
I’ve still got my PS3 and both of the games and am very tempted to give them a play through...

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - The Best CoD of the Generation

Not my sort of game in the slightest, but it’s nice to hear that it’s reviewing well across the board. I imagine it’s great for COD’s fans that everything they love of the multiplayer has been honed and tweaked for the better, plus the new Blackout mode. Have fun, guys 👍

Re: Feature: Celebrating PlayStation VR's Second Anniversary

The Kitchen Demo was my first experience and I was thrilled by it, seeing the amazing potential for full-on immersive horror games. Obviously then, Resident Evil 7 has been my favourite game so far. I also love the desolate and creepy weirdness of Here They Lie. Now, real life rollercoasters are defo not for me, but I loved the stomach lurching sensations that Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood gave me, as well as it’s shooting and jump scares. Special mention for The Persistence too. And the awesomeness of Gunjack - it’s basically 3D Galaxians, and it’s something I wouldn’t have bothered with on a flatscreen.
The Invisible Hours, Superhot VR, Moss, Astrobot and many others are sitting in my backlog, and I’m sure I’ll love them too.
I’m a very satisfied early adopter of PSVR 👍

Re: Of Course You Can Make First-Person Games in Dreams

jacobia

Wow, that was very impressive, particularly the FPS bit. As I’ve mentioned before on previous Dreams articles, I’m super keen to try my hand at making a horror game, as well as getting stuck into the music creator. I’m really hoping, and would imagine, that MM are developing Dreams’ tools to be as accessible as possible, making it almost idiot proof. Because the more articles and videos I read and see, the more I’m starting to feel a bit overwhelmed by the apparent enormity of Dreams’ potential. Although saying that, like anything that’s a new experience, it can always be quite daunting at first, but through repetition and trial and error, I’m sure it’ll all become clear and make sense.

Re: Hands On: Dreams Is Going to Be a Game of the Year Candidate

jacobia

Do we know if there’s any sort of parameters that limit the length of time a created game could be? Anyhoo, I’m super keen to experience Dreams, but am also quite daunted by the worry of being overwhelmed by it from the get go. However, I would also imagine that MM will have worked long and hard to make the creation processes as accessible as they possibly can.

Re: Review: Transference (PS4)

jacobia

Great review, Liam, thanks 👍
Had a good feeling about Transference since it’s initial announcement, and have had it preordered for a while.
It’s sitting in the backlog at the moment, but being a fan of horror games in general, I’m sure it’ll be a 👻👻 blast once I fire it up.

Re: Telltale Games Effectively Shuttered After Enormous Layoffs

jacobia

I’m shocked, I wasn’t aware of the troubles indicated in this article.
Hopefully the folks will find new employment soon.
“From our perspective, the oversaturation of Telltale Games’ output has diminished the inherent novelty of its titles, which has no doubt had a huge impact on their commercial performance.”
Yeah, I completely agree with this viewpoint 100%

Re: Wolfenstein III in Development, Confirms Bethesda's Pete Hines

Played both W:TNO and W:TOB, both great fun. Bought W2:TNC 2 weeks after it was released....and it’s still in backlog mountain! No doubt I will buy W3 when it’s released...and it’ll probably go into a new backlog (possibly a whole range of mountains by then). Just hope W2 has been introduced to my PS4 by then...

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 236

@Oldiebutnoobie Cool, I love the Dead Space games, and Dante’s Inferno was great little game too. One the best things I love about Dead Space, bar the near perfect mix of horror and sci-fi, is it’s amazing sound design and all those wonderful background ambient noises. Do you play them with headphones on?
Anyhoo, on topic, I’m finishing off the End Of Zoe dlc from RE7, through my PSVR 👻
