As a diehard Sega fan from the late 80's I cannot express how much I loathe what the idiotic Sammy management did for the first ~10 years of ownership to Sega.
Sega was obviously struggling across the board but I'd argue their quality AND quantity of output was the best in the industry during the Dreamcast era and Sammy ruined them.
After being a shell of themselves for years they're finally, sort of, back on track...even if most of their success is on the PC side or from purchased companies on console. (Atlus)
My point is: I'm still salty that Sega really isn't Sega anymore.
Love the Yakuza series and this game was (pun intended) criminally underrated when it originally released. Fantastic atmosphere, story and characters. Hoping we see a sequel soon. Reminds me of old Sega, this is something they'd put out on the Dreamcast...and that is a high compliment from me.
@lacerz That's exactly how I remembered it. I was in college when Home debuted and my roommate and I had a great deal of fun wandering around for the first few days. By the weekend we had forgotten about it and I'm only reminded of the service by random articles such as this.
I see no reason why the PS5 couldn't upscale all PSX/2 games and even run PS3 titles natively. Even if it's 'only' Sony owned properties that's a huge number of titles to offer gamers and a great way to debut a Game Pass style service.
Unfortunately they seem to hate anything older than the PS4. 😥
@Amusei This. I can handle bugs, the absolute ***** AI, lack of true world building/interaction is far more damning than random spawn problems. Absolutely pathetic state the game was pushed out in, and after nearly a decade from announcement? Unacceptable across the board.
HALF the space is reasonable? Absolutely not! I understand why we need to start smaller due to increased cost but I hope we have a 2TB option (or expandable drive at least) very quickly.

Re: First Impressions: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Is an Eye-Popping Demonstration of PS5's Power
This is a next gen title that I've got my eye on. Now, if only we could get a new Jak and Daxter or Sly Cooper with this level of production.

Re: PS5 Game Boost Trailer Raises Eyebrows
@nessisonett Just play it on PC! 😉
Re: Lost Judgment Announced for PS5, PS4, September 2021 Worldwide Release Date
I absolutely love everything about the Yakuza series and Judgement is awesome too! Excited to play more, although first I need to play Like A Dragon.

Tons of potential, fell completely flat.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 373
MLB: The Show 21 (Xbox One X)
Octopath Traveler (Xbox One X)
Red Faction: Guerilla (PC)
Sakura Wars (Sega Saturn - English Patch)
Re: MLB The Show 21: How to Hit the Ball Better
I either hit a home run or get out. There is very little in-between.

@get2sammyb
Oh man, Sly Cooper. 🦝 What a phenomenal series, really wish we would get a new entry. 🥺

PC Complete edition in 2022 it is then. 😑
Re: PS1 Sci-Fi RPG SaGa Frontier Is Being Remastered on PS4 in 2021
@TheRedComet That's a bad take, but I definitely can understand the appeal of Cross.
I've replayed Chrono Trigger probably close to a dozen times over the years and will never get tired of anything in that game. 🥰
Re: Marvel's Spider-Man File Sizes Are 25 Per Cent Smaller on PS5
@thefourfoldroot If you're not coming close to the limit then you must:
1) Not play much
2) Delete/reinstall games frequently
3) Focus on indie titles
400GB is laughable and 50% more with full 4k assets and virtual surround sound becoming the standard isn't that much of an improvement 7 years later.

@RedShirtRod Don't just single out single-player titles, it's too much for any title imo
