Re: SEGA Is Exploring Options to Bring Back Its Old Franchises

jrb363

As a diehard Sega fan from the late 80's I cannot express how much I loathe what the idiotic Sammy management did for the first ~10 years of ownership to Sega.

Sega was obviously struggling across the board but I'd argue their quality AND quantity of output was the best in the industry during the Dreamcast era and Sammy ruined them.

After being a shell of themselves for years they're finally, sort of, back on track...even if most of their success is on the PC side or from purchased companies on console. (Atlus)

My point is: I'm still salty that Sega really isn't Sega anymore.

@lacerz That's exactly how I remembered it. I was in college when Home debuted and my roommate and I had a great deal of fun wandering around for the first few days. By the weekend we had forgotten about it and I'm only reminded of the service by random articles such as this.

Tons of potential, fell completely flat.

Re: Poll: Is PlayStation Losing Ground to Xbox?

I see no reason why the PS5 couldn't upscale all PSX/2 games and even run PS3 titles natively. Even if it's 'only' Sony owned properties that's a huge number of titles to offer gamers and a great way to debut a Game Pass style service.

Unfortunately they seem to hate anything older than the PS4. 😥

@thefourfoldroot If you're not coming close to the limit then you must:
1) Not play much
2) Delete/reinstall games frequently
3) Focus on indie titles

400GB is laughable and 50% more with full 4k assets and virtual surround sound becoming the standard isn't that much of an improvement 7 years later.
