Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Star Ocean The Second Story R?

Abysmal is just trolling, but it's deffo a solid 8-9. I played the original on PS One and have very fond memories of it.

Two people voting the ever popular Abysmal already 🙄 This is on my wishlist and will be one of the next games I buy.

So far the Remake is really great, 8.5 so I rounded up to 9. This is my 1st time playing a Star Ocean game. There is some chaffing of the classic game design but the QoL improvements smooth out alot.

Outstanding, and at a great price too for a new game. I got a physical copy for 43€. Square Enix is good with choosing prices for its games. Tactics Ogre Reborn was 38€ when it launched. They also have published more games on PS5 than Sony itself did this gen, which shows just how abysmal Sony's 1st party output has been apart from the first year.

Just finished Spider-Man 2 and ordered this one. Being a passionate Nintendo fan back in the day, I missed out on the original. I absolutely love the art style and can't wait to dive into the Star Ocean universe, as I never played a game in the series before.

I wanted to give it a 10 because that is what it is in my heart but couldn't because of minor niggles. Gave it a 9 instead as despite those it is a phenomenal game (I also played the original back in the day).

I’ve only played a couple of hours so I can’t really give it a fair score. That said, if it keeps up the pace then it’s definitely an easy 8-9. I’ll probably sink more time into it once I finish Alan Wake 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and Super Mario RPG.

Abysmal its so strange and it's unfounded. I would love people to explain why it's that in a solid way. I don't mind if people don't like something but come with solid reasons why you rate it like that.

I sometimes don't like a movie or game but I won't rate it like that. Even with MW3 it's lazy cashgrab don't blame the developers but it looks like a solid 5 because of that.

People stop putting politics or your unfounded hate to rate a game on its merits. It's not abysmal on the if you look at the technical state alone of the game.

@Sil_Am They put out a solid amount of nice games I love the older and even smaller titles we need more of those.

So gave it a 9 cause I vaguely remember playing the original back in the late 90's early 2000's also remember I never finished it.(a rare regret.) So hearing about this remake?/Remaster? I got happy, but was worried cause retro games usually mess with my eyes with how bad the graphics usually are. Thankfully the updated graphics don't kill my eyes and all the QoL changes have made this feel like a new game for me, been having a blast and will probably actually finish the game this time.
