Unfortunately, my Ethernet port failed on my PS5. Which I use a lot. My PS5 is under the 1 year warranty coverage. I sent it Friday. For repair. Has anyone here used Sony's warranty repair claim? If so how was it? Did it take long to get back? Thanks.
@Ernimus_Prime I’m in the UK so the experience may differ but my PS5 bricked within 48 hours of having it. I contacted Sony no problem and think it was less than 2 weeks between sending it off and getting a console back. I seem to remember them being pretty good at keeping my posted on receiving the console, working on it etc.
Fingers cross it goes smoothly for you and it’s back with you soon!
@Thrillho Thanks for the info. I'm in Canada.
The return box came quick. Like the 2nd day after making the claim. Dropped it off this past Friday. It'll be at Sony's repair Facility looking like Monday or Tuesday. So the shipping is quick.
@Ernimus_Prime Mine broke earlier this year (although it was out of warranty, which was expensive), but the service itself was very good and I got a replacement about ten days later. They keep you updated via their website, which I appreciated. It's probably roughly the same level of service in Canada.
@Ernimus_Prime I didn’t even get a return box! But I did like that they told me that I wouldn’t get whatever box I sent it in so not to use my PS5 box if I wanted to keep it.
Just got my PS5 back from warranty repair. It was a total of 5 days without my PS5. They had to replace the main board with a new Ethernet port. Haven't hooked it up yet. If it isn't working correctly. I'll follow up my post.
I also had a problem with my ps5, after just 4 months of use, it simply won't turn on and I can't contact Sony for repair, there is no working phone and when I try to open a console registration online, an error appears. How did you do to return the console? Can someone help me? 😢
