Hi guys, I am pretty new to this forum.
In Feb I downloaded "The Shadow of Tomb Raider" from the PS+ Store. I really like it and want to have the 7 extra maps. But, the bundle would cost 20€ on PS Store and the whole game, the "Definitive Edition" costs just under 20€ at eBay and Amazon.
I generally prefer physical games.
So my question is, whether I keep my safegame by playing from a disc in future when I buy it physically?
Or is it the total wrong edition I looking for? I mean 20€ for the whole game + all DLCs? Makes it sense?
@x19LP I’ve don’t think I’ve ever actually done it myself, but I’m pretty sure your game save will transfer over from a digital copy of the game to a physical copy, and vice-versa. There may be some exceptions to this, but it should be the same basic game code and when you pop in the physical copy and download it from the disc, it will recognize your game save file.
I would make sure to have a back up of your game saves somewhere - either on the cloud or a usb drive, just in case something weird happens with corrupting the save, but I highly doubt you’ll have any problem if you’re taking about playing on the same console system as your original digital playthrough. If you were making a jump to a PS5 version of the game then I’m not sure things would carry over quite so confidently.
