@KratosMD Yeah this is from the same dev as Black Flag too. Is it right that they only had the one studio working on it, instead of several like the previous two games?
Spot in with the combat, you have much more control of your actions it seems. I'm getting more of a Dark Souls vibe with the combat, but it is the traversal which reminds of a bit of BOTW. No game has managed to do that since I've played Zelda.
Once you get to the second place, eventually you will come across a purple merchant on the map. I reccomended doing his quests to get some amazing gear. Think he has a new one every day.
This also rewards exploration. I managed to get into a pyramid which was way off into the distance. It was like a maze inside, and I got a bit claustrophobic in places.

I have really really enjoyed this game and that's why I can't wait for Odyssey. I was a big ac fan, but after the ac 3 I lost interest in it so this was really good for a change. I loved every bit of it and the combat is indeed a lot better but I had to change controls layout as r1 and r2 didn't suit me so I used alternate controls.
@KratosMD Agreed on the not staying in one place for too long. I think it helped me that I found there were quite a few places with enemies whom were far too powerful for me to take one. So rather than stay and grind up a few levels I moved on.

@KratosMD That sounds so frustrating. I did have a strange hidden blade glitch with one of the main assassination targets. Like yours it didn't register at all, so I had to reload and do the whole thing again. That was close to release so it's maddening that such glitches are still present after all those patches. Aside from strange bugs, awesome game!
@KratosMD any new updates on your experiences? As a big fan of this game and series as a whole I like reading other people's experiences and thoughts 💭
@KratosMD I finished the game and many of its side quests and there were still some areas which I hadn't even visited, at all! It's massive really, but the good thing about it is that you don't need to visit everything and do everything.
Have you tried fighting Phylakes? That was a very interesting feature to me. And those hippos and 🐊 were also very interesting. Nothing new in open world games, but I've never fought hippos and 🐊 so it was really interesting.
@KratosMD I suggest going after a Phylake as soon as you reach his level as they provide some of the best gears in the game. I forgot about that while I was playing so I only started chasing them after lvl 30...
quick question but so i was playing Assassin's Creed Syndicate again and i was wondering, whatever happened to that kid who was meant to be Desmond's son but also meant to be a Sage too, i would have thought that character would have been pretty important but instead he just vanished and instead we got Layla who lets be honest is a pretty dull character (who just happens to be a chosen one destined to bring balance to the forces of Order and Chaos, which makes her even MORE dull and generic)
