I just finished the quest “A gift from the gods” and I have so many questions...copyright questions... is there no end to FFXV? Should I expect Egyptian cup noodles next? On the plus side, chocobo.
Just finished the first DLC. I won't spoiler anything. It's pretty much just more of the same but that isn't a bad thing. I have put almost 80 hours in. Will take a break from it once MH: World comes out but looking forward to the next expansion.
I'm working my way through the DLC now, want to get it done before MHW pulls me away. It doesn't innovate but I wasn't expecting it too. Considering how awesome the game is, 'more of the same' is certainly not a bad thing in this case.

The funny thing is that I have never really been an AC fan. The only one I have ever finished was AC 2 but have loved this one. My second favorite game last year after Horizon.
@Splat Same here. The only AC games I liked was AC III and that was mainly due to the setting and Black Flag and even then those didn't grab me like ACO did. I played a bit of 1, 2, and Brotherhood and didn't care for those ones.
I think it's the playstyle and the RPG element that's got me hooked so bad. I am literally annoyed cause I don't get much time to play it as I would like.

I don't know the way it's going I feel they may not. To me it feels like instead of a new AC game yearly they will just release expansions for this one.
I honestly would just get the game now (I have seen it going for $30 at some places). There's so much to do in the base game itself that you can stay busy with it for awhile without touching the DLC. Heck I have been playing it off and on for the last few months and I am nowhere near the end of the base game.

I have spent 97hrs4m on the game with 100% main mission and 99% side mission completion (according to an email from Ubisoft) - the only ones I haven't done are the Hippodrome and Gladiator missions - yet. That does include the Hidden Ones DLC with the whole of that completed to 100% - not a single ? left on the map(s). Yet to download and start the latest DLC...

@KratosMD That's AC Origins in a nut shell and what makes it different then other AC games is the fact that you can go anywhere and explore anywhere. Of course areas of the map are divided by level but you can still go in those areas it just wouldn't be a good idea to fight stuff till you are closer to that level. I mean nothing is stopping you from climbing the Great Pyramid or the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

@Kidfried That does include all ?'s on the map - going to every point and completing everything that these relate to - even if its just finding the 'treasure' or clearing out a fort, beating the 'bosses' there and collecting all the 'treasure'. The Story itself is probably just 20-25hrs but if you want to do everything, there is a LOT of hours worth. I haven't entered the chariot racing or the Gladiator combat arenas - let alone the 'horde' style combat arena.

@KratosMD You can go where you want and when you want too. Certainly after the initial opening phase. That being said, the regions have recommended levels and, if you get caught in an area with say level 30 enemies and you are only level 5, then you will struggle - certainly not a good idea to fight but you do have the option to run and try to break line of sight. Some won't attack without provocation anyway - provocation would be things like trying to get into their camp/fort or firing an arrow at them.
In some ways, its much like Horizon:Zero Dawn - more side quests with 'hunting' needed to get materials to upgrade things like ammo capacity, ranged/melee damage etc. Personally I think its the best AC game and one of the best games of 2017 - 2nd only to H:ZD although H:ZD feels 'smaller' but more 'unique'.

@Kidfried I am sure you could beat the game in a lot shorter time - 20hrs may well have been spent just on completing everything in the Hidden Ones DLC and I did stop to hunt or kill enemies when-ever they crossed my path - none of that was 'necessary'. You could also clear bases quicker than I did as I often went for the completely 'stealth' route, picking off individuals instead of fire-bombing and killing 3 or 4 at once. I also spent a lot of time on foot or swimming instead of on horse back or boat which meant getting from point A to point B took a lot longer - especially as I stopped to hunt/fight at almost every opportunity.
Point is, you could beat everything, inc the DLC in less time than it took me if you really wanted - not sure if some of that time also included the weekly challenges when they cropped up too - an extra hour here and there. Potential is there for it to take longer too if you really wanted.

@KratosMD As someone who wasn't impressed the the AC series (I only liked III and IV and that was due to the time period) I am enjoying AC Origins alot. I was wanting a big open world game and AC Origins has satisfied that want nicely. It's great if I don't have alot of time to play a game I still feel satsified after doing a few side quests just as much as I do when I play the main story.
The fact also that you can tackle objectives in this game a variety of ways is really nice too. You don't have to necessary stalk around all assassin like if you don't want too.

I just finished The Curse of the Pharaohs. It was another solid expansion. They have done a great job of supporting this game. If they do indeed do more content I will gladly come back for more.
Ok, so this game is pretty good so far. But man, what's with all the hints? It's really tiresome. "Press up to call Senu" being by far the worst offender. Big and bold in the middle of the screen. Won't go away until I do it.
"Press options to set quest"
YES I KNOW.
Are they for real? Why is there no option to disable this garbage? Totally ruins the immersion and spoils the feeling of accomplishment.
@kyleforrester87 I thought there was a way to turn them off in the options menu but I might be wrong.
I always hated in game instruction even back in the SNES days. I remember playing Final Fantasy II (IV) on SNES and ten minutes into the game I get Press + to walk in directions from talking to a guard. I was so annoyed by that.
