@Voltan yeah, I knew it was gonna be rough around the edges and probably not pull off everything it was trying with such a tiny team but I wasn’t expecting it to take quite the kicking it has in the media. Ah well, I’m excited to try it myself.

Well, this hasn’t gone over as well as I expected it to have... I’m probably still gonna play it some ways down the line though (after the PS5 version drops).
@colonelkilgore yeah, it’s sounding a little rough, eh? I’m still excited about it. I know what I’d like out of it so hopefully it delivers on that. Also I loved Cyberpunk so I must have crap taste in games anyways 🤪

@Jimmer-jammer it just sounds a bit shallow from the reviews I’ve viewed. It’s still averaging just under 70% though, which isn’t the end of the world. Not a terrible first game for a small developer, just not the 80% or above I and a lot of other peeps were expecting.
You’re not the only poster who enjoyed CP2077 btw... I’m actually still really looking forward to it when the PS5 version eventually releases.
@colonelkilgore hopefully they get some support here and are able to improve on a sequel or whatever their next game is. I can feel the passion here. You gotta start somewhere.

@Jimmer-jammer yeah, I’d imagine the general interest in the title will be enough to ensure it sells well enough to not be considered a failure. I’m just hoping that the PS5 version doesn’t take as long as the PS5 CP2077 is taking.
Man, some of these reviews are absolutely brutal. But I think that part of it is that the reviewers just want something different than the game offers. Personally, it looks very appealing to me, but I'm now hesitating due to the seemingly short play time. One review said 20 hours and another said 30. I usually end up at about 150% of the average, but still that's pretty short for a $60 game.
Given all of that, it sounds like some sales might be coming to this one sooner than later, and maybe I'll go with ME:LE first and do this one second, rather than my plan of the other way around.
@Unlucky13 yeah I’ve heard 20-30 hours for the platinum, let alone just completing the main game. With my backlog though, a shorter play length doesn’t necessarily put me off... I have more than enough 100 hour+ games locked-and-loaded as it is to be fair.
@colonelkilgore If so, then I'm waiting a lot longer to check it out. 20-30 hours MAX play time is just far too short for me to really enjoy. That would be like a $10 game on sale when I have nothing else to play type of deal.
I'm into games where I can put in 80-150 hours and really enjoy it. Too bad if this one is that brief after all the time that they put into it.
@Bentleyma- It comes out at 3pm here in Ireland. A funny time to release it but there you are I guess. @Unlucky13 Just a friendly FYI but Dust an Elysian Tail was shorter than 20-30 hours and people (including myself) loved it. Both Ori games are shorter again.
that's long enough to have my money's worth but not long enough to cause burnout.
and resi village took me 11 hours to beat spread over 4 days and i feel i got my money's worth out of that aswell.
smaller AA open world games should get some leniency when it comes to scope and size tbh.
