Topic: Destiny 2 - Guardians Unite

Got my digital pre-order down!

IGN already has a both a written and a video "review in progress" available for Destiny 2.

I can't think of a game I need a review of less than Destiny 2. It'll be weeks before a review with any real merit can be written anyway.

And, let's be real - it's more of the same, right? You like it or not, like Call of Duty and Battlefield.

Screw Destiny 2 reviews. 6 to 8/10. More shooting and grinding. There ya go. Go out and buy it. Or don't. It's all good.

It really sucks they opened up the servers for physical copies of the game but not digital.

@Splat Not long to wait I won't bother staying up tonight though, but will be on after work tomorrow evening. Plus I remembered today I booked Thursday off a couple of months back so I can hammer it all day, whey!

My launch experience: launch game with unlock countdown; get server full message saying I should wait in queue to get in. It doesn't even say how big the queue is or where I am in it like the wow version.

I should be picking this up later, i'm hoping it's going to be good

Been hearing about persistent crashes on Pro consoles, anybody had that happened to them?

@adf86 I've not had a single crash on my pro after 5-6 hours of playing it today.

No probs for me in the past couple hours, flawless actually...

No problems last night for 1hr in my pro.

Yeah I've heard it's crashed for some but good to know you guys haven't had problems, hope your enjoying.

I got about 5 hours in on the Pro with no problems so far.

What I'm trying to figure out is if hunters really are as bad as they seem, with the dodge class ability which doesn't grant any immunity, barely moves you out of the way, is on a 17s timer, and is basically as fast as reloading.... and compare that to aoe group buffs or cover that grants auto-reloading to all.... I just would like to know if hunters have anything that offsets that? Aside from capes (awesome) and arguably the best jump (triple jump).

@Mega-Gazz If it really is that bad they'll give you an awesome OP subclass in the next expansion like they did the Titan in D1 so sit tight

Is melee really strong with all classes or just the Titan? If anything gets too close to me I just punch it in the face and it's down.

I'm really liking the game a lot. I never played the first so being more of the same isn't a problem for me.

@Splat strong when your timer is up for all the classes with subtle differences.

What classes have people gone with? I'm thinking Warlock after Hunter sounds like it's underpowered
