Topic: Rocket League | OT | Ole! Ole! Ole!

Rocket League is out on PS4 this week, and it's free on PlayStation Plus. I'm so happy about the latter because I know this is going to be a surprise package for many. It really is one of those games where once you pop, you can't stop... Make sure you give it a fair shake.

Anyway, figured we should have an OT for the game. Also, if anyone's up for forming a team or something, I'm sure we can work something out. I'm hoping there's some kind of clan functionality baked into the final release, but we'll see.

Anyway, let's keep all Rocket League discussion in here for now. Please feel free to share your best goals, saves, and general impressions. I'll leave you with this...

I will probably check it out since it's a PS+ game but now sure it will be for me. That said maybe it's a game you have to play to really get it.

I can't wait for it. Really looking forward to playing this with friends both online and offline.

I can't see a club/clan/team function but I've only been on for about 40 minutes.

The beta was so good but the final release looks so smooth and polished and the extra modes are great. My evening is booked out for this game

@wesker @get2sammyb thanks! I figured as much with the server update and time difference. I'm outside Philly in the U.S. so I will be waiting until 4pm this afternoon. Hopefully the servers aren't localized so I can hop on for some matches with any of you that play late night.

This doesn't seem like the sort of thing I'd normally give a second glance at, but more than happy to try it out as it's free! I'll have a couple games in between Batman sessions at the weekend and see how I get along with it!

I just played it for the first time and it's not bad. It's not something that I'm going to play for hours at a time but in short bursts it can be fun. It also has some really easy trophies so there's that haha.

Well I was going to play this but started Shantae instead.

Wasn't planning on grabbing any PS+ games this month, but I've read too many good things about this one to ignore, will have to try it soon.

Ok played a bit tonight and I am having way to much fun. I need to see how Spotify works exactly this game jus screams some old school, Metallica, Ozzy, Megadeth and White Zombie tunes playing during matches.

@Tasuki: I've heard that if you play Spotify whilst in the game it auto stops the it's soundtrack but keep the sound effects etc, I'm going to test that tonight

@milero91: I remember reading somewhere that the large majority of games are supposed to work the same with Spotify. Haven't bothered to test it out yet myself though.

Good call on Spotify. This is the perfect game for using that while playing... I did today for a good hour or so.

How did it work out? Any of the problems folks mentioned above?

I thought it worked great. It gave me my music but still had the car sound effects going as well. It's actually the first time I used Spotify while playing a game but plan to do it a lot more.

@Splat: Sounds great, might do that in a bit, not sure if I am going to play that, Shantae or Heroes of the Storm on PC.
