Hey we got a goal. Yes, it was a classic Rudiger but it’s a goal. Germany do look a strong side though, that group of players actually delivering internationally for once is a first but with the luck of the draw, they could go far.
Mixed performance by England, pretty standard for Southgateball. Good solid first half, lax and tired second half. Very very lucky that Serbia couldn’t find that tiny moment of quality in the box, they played England off the pitch in the second half but goals are what matter. England might toil through with a win here but against better opposition, I could see them struggling. They just have to control the match, defence looked a bit slack at times.
Would probably say that Serbia’s height advantage actually was a disadvantage too, their strength seemed to generate more fouls than anything. An awful lot of 50/50s resulting in an England player on the floor due to the build mismatch, which didn’t used to be inherently a foul but referees are definitely blowing for those now.
Robbed of an absolutely clear penalty, worst decision I’ve seen in my life. Utterly robbed. VAR not even having a look. Not even that annoyed by the last minute winner, it was a counter cause we had to go for it. Hope Varga is ok.
So we got Argentina vs Colombia for the Copa America final and Spain vs England for the Euro. I am rooting for Colombia (would love to see their winning streak continue) and England but I have a feeling Argentina and Spain will win.
I watched the Copa America semi final just now between Uruguay and Colombia and it was a great game. Very foul heavy but that's to be expected with two South American teams but over all enjoyable.

What a great final for the Copa America. I would have liked to see Colombia keep their streak but the better team won tonight. Both played really well after and hour delay to the start of the game. I guess a bunch of fans tried to get into the stadium without having tickets to it or something.
I haven't been able to see the Euro final yet but I heard it was just as good. Hopefully I will be able to catch it here soon on a replay.

Rodri out for the season. F**k me, we might actually get somebody else winning the season. Would be hilarious if he came back from injury having to play for Citeh in the Vanarama National League after they get expelled from the league.
@QualityGeezer I despair my friend. Up until yesterday I could at least say the games we did not win (with Liverpool the exception) we probably could and should have won but I can't really defend any of yesterdays game, just terrible.
To further exasperate the problem we have backed ETH handsomely in the summer so to scrap it all and start again looks even worse. I don't or didn't want rid of ETH but that probably means another miserable season by the looks of it, I genuinely thought we might see improvements this season and feel like a right mug now!!!
@JohnnyShoulder I'd take him over Southgate any day of the week, at this point I think no manager would make a difference, those that could wouldn't come near us with a barge pole and rightly so!!
@JohnnyShoulder oh it has been low for a while buddy, we are way off it at least when your lot were rubbish in the 90's and 00's you still won a decent amount of trophies and did pretend to challenge for the title a couple of times we are a distant joke at the moment but hey ho it is all cyclical 🤞
@Mostik It is stange how both teams are rarerly challenging for the title at the same time.
It has probably made things even worse this season with Liverpool's good start with a new bald Dutch manager, with only one signing. We will be screwed next year though if the trio don't sign a new contract soon.
It does feel like Ten Haag has run out of exscuses now. Almost no injuries, a lot of the players are now his signings, and a whole new coaching and executive team behind him.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@JohnnyShoulder Absolutely, it is getting harder in fact almost impossible to defend him now (bit like our defense lol) just shambolic.
It is strange we don't ever seem to properly go toe to toe but that might be a good thing given the tribalism which engulfs our games.
Your manager has got off to a good start, I envy the calmness to be honest he needs to come through a sticky period but he says the right things and you can only judge him on results which so far he is delivering with good football - kills me to say it though 😂
