Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (PS5)
$39.89/£43.39 (-43%/-38%)
Insomniac Games delivers an ultra-fun sequel in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Refining pretty much everything that came before while delivering another rollicking superhero story, this is about as solid a follow-up as you could hope for. While it'll be fairly familiar if you've played the other games, new features tip it over the edge. The Web Wings are a huge boon for traversal, combat has been smartly refined, and the side content is more meaningful. It's a real crowd-pleaser, and is another shiny jewel in Sony's PS5 crown.

Mortal Kombat 1 (PS5)
$16.49/£14.84 (-67%)
Mortal Kombat 1 revamps the storyline of this enduring fighting game series, with all the characters you know and love reimagined in a new timeline. This makes for a brilliant (and violent) romp, turning unlikely pairs into firm allies in a high quality story mode. Once you're done with that, the game has plenty more to do: experiment with the new Kameo system; play the board game-like Invasion mode; and get a bit more lore on all the fighters in the arcade-like Tower mode. While the core fighting hasn't evolved all that much, this is still arguably the best Mortal Kombat yet, and will certainly be supported for a long time.
Need for Speed Unbound (PS5)
$6.99/£6.99 (-90%)
Developer Criterion Games once again takes charge of EA's storied racing series with Need for Speed Unbound, and it's the best one in ages. The open world is decent, but it's the fun, satisfying driving that seals the deal, while some cartoonish flourishes really liven up its presentation. The push and pull of day and night events keeps the campaign charging forward, and deep customisation lets you create your dream rides. It's not perfect, but Unbound is a great effort that gets a lot of things right.
No Man's Sky (PS5)
$23.99/£15.99 (-60%)
The initially rough reception of No Man's Sky can safely be put to bed. Hello Games has stayed fully committed to its procedurally generated space exploration adventure, fleshing it out with a staggering number of huge updates. Not only does the game look and run much better these days, it's bursting with things to see and do, and that's without considering the 18 quintillion planets waiting to be discovered. The PS5 release is the best version you can play on console, too, with minimised load times, great DualSense integration, and now even optional PSVR2 support.
Overcooked: All You Can Eat (PS5)
$13.59/£11.89 (-66%)
Overcooked: All You Can Eat serves up everything from Overcooked and Overcooked 2 in one delicious meal. All that content has been refreshed and remastered, with online play now spread across both games, and even more DLC added on top. The brilliance of this series is how it forces you to truly work together — if you don't, chaos can quickly take hold, and you'll never get those three-star ratings on each level. It's also extremely accessible, with easy-to-grasp controls and objectives. Looking better than ever on PS5, it's the ultimate way to enjoy one of the best co-op party games in recent memory.
Pacific Drive (PS5)
$17.99/£14.99 (-40%)
A unique driving adventure, Pacific Drive is a supernatural roguelike where a busted up old car is the star of the show. Featuring a mysterious narrative woven through your excursions into a creepy exclusion zone, this is a survival game with a heavy focus on maintaining and upgrading your vehicle. The game can be a little overwhelming at points, but caring for your car really makes it feel special, and there's lots to discover as you explore the zone, getting into all kinds of scrapes.
Pentiment (PS5)
$9.99/£7.99 (-50%)
Pentiment is a unique narrative adventure with a stunning art style. Set in 16th century Bavaria, you play as a character who begins an investigation into a murder of which your friend has been accused. Through exploring the setting and chatting with locals, you'll slowly peel back the layers of the mystery as well as interact with the well-observed lives of everyday people. It's a slow-moving but thoughtful and well-executed game.
Pepper Grinder (PS5)
$7.49/£6.49 (-50%)
Pepper Grinder has a super fun core mechanic, and it's fully explored within its refreshingly short runtime. It's an action platformer in which you use a large drill to navigate through certain surfaces, and it feels great to leap around like a power tool dolphin. With simple progression and a bunch of additional mechanics changing the gameplay up just enough, this short but sweet little game never outstays its welcome.
Persona 5 Royal (PS5)
$23.99/£19.99 (-60%)
Persona 5 Royal is the definitive version of an outstanding RPG — and it hits a silky smooth 60fps on PS5. The original Persona 5 was already a masterpiece for many, but this greatly enhanced and significantly expanded re-release is basically Persona perfection. Balancing elements of everyday life simulation with amazing turn based combat and a lot of cool dungeon crawling, it's a truly immaculate title. Brilliantly cohesive, refined, and quite possibly the most stylish game in existence.
Pistol Whip (PS5)
$17.99/£14.99 (-40%)
Rhythm games and virtual reality go together wonderfully, and one of the best examples of that is Pistol Whip. Revamped for PSVR2's bells and whistles, this flashy game is essentially an on-rails shooter set to music. It's a simple idea but executed so well, oozing style and allowing the player to pull off some super cool moves. Firing your guns to the beat and dodging incoming attacks with perfect timing is endlessly satisfying, and the Hollywood-inspired levels are all a treat to look at, too.
PixelJunk Monsters 2 (PS4)
$2.24/£1.79 (-85%)
PixelJunk Monsters 2 is a brave sequel that attempts to fix something that isn't broken, and has ended up taking away more than it adds. The 3D graphics are gorgeous, but the game is less readable as a result, and maintaining all your towers is more difficult when you can't see them all at once. However, the root of what makes these games special shines through, and when you're slaying enemies in a perfectly executed run, the flaws fade away, and you're left with a delightfully satisfying tower defence title that almost anyone can enjoy.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (PS5)
$19.99/£17.49 (-50%)
Ubisoft proves with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown that it’s arguably at its best when it’s scaling down the size of its games and creating something outside of its open world wheelhouse. Metroidvanias may be ten a penny on PS5, but this well-executed adventure is bursting with exploration and equipped with some of the most satisfying side-scrolling combat you’ll find on Sony’s current-gen system.
Psychonauts 2 (PS4)
$11.99/£9.99 (-80%)
Double Fine's cult favourite PS2 platformer finally got the full-blown sequel it deserved with Psychonauts 2, and it's excellent. You don't hear much chatter about it, but this is a 3D platformer bursting with imagination, variety, and fun. What's more, it delivers that while also weaving a good story, exploring delicate themes without going overboard. Whether you're a fan of the original or are just looking for a colourful, inventive platformer, Psychonauts 2 is one of PS4's best examples.
Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4)
$14.99/£13.74 (-75%)
A modern masterpiece and Rockstar's best ever game, Red Dead Redemption 2 raises the bar for open world design. As if that wasn't enough, it also has one of the best told stories in gaming, stuffed with memorable characters, moments, and missions. Unbelievably polished and absurdly detailed, it rivals Naughty Dog's finest in its obsession with excellence. Mature, bold, and gripping from start to finish, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game that every PS4 owner should play.
Resident Evil 4 (PS5)
$19.99/£17.49 (-50%)
One of the most influential, and most highly rated, games in living memory is Resident Evil 4, and surprise surprise, the remake is just as essential. Capcom has brought Leon's disturbing European excursion into the modern era with updated controls, vastly improved graphics, and knife parries. The remake nails the tone of the beloved original while building on it with a creepier atmosphere and even new areas to explore and side missions to keep you busy. It's somehow improved on one of the best games ever, and even features full PSVR2 support.
Returnal (PS5)
$29.39/£34.99 (-58%/-50%)
Not that it needed to, but with Returnal, Housemarque has proven itself an incredibly capable studio. This PS5 exclusive is a frantic, ultra-tight third person shooter dressed up with some rogue-like elements to add variety and unpredictability to the mix, and the result is wonderful.
Riders Republic (PS5)
$9.99/£8.74 (-75%)
A game that brings something a little different to the sports genre on the PS5, Riders Republic is a Ubisoft open world game with a cycling/skiing/wingsuiting skin. A massively multiplayer online sandbox, filled with both silly and serious challenges, this game is colossal in scale – something it underpins with its outrageous Mass Race competitions. It can look a little ugly and its too-cool-for-school style will grate, but cycling down mountains at 100kmph is still an exhilarating experience.
Rogue Legacy 2 (PS5)
$12.49/£9.99 (-50%)
If it's rogue-lites you're into, there are few better than Rogue Legacy 2. Building upon the already great original in basically every way, the sequel is vast in scope and executed brilliantly. Each attempt sees you begin with a new character, all of them with a unique build of strengths and weaknesses. Between runs, you'll upgrade the town, craft better armour, and gradually become stronger. It's incredibly moreish, with each run feeling different from the last, and the gameplay is responsive and rewarding.
Scarlet Nexus (PS5)
$14.99/£6.99 (-75%/-86%)
An intriguing action RPG from Bandai Namco, Scarlet Nexus is a largely solid and stylish romp with a relatively unique combat system. Utilising psychic powers, you can hurl chunks of the environment at your opponents and pull off flashy team attacks alongside your allies. Some of the characters are a bit wishy-washy, but the game's core premise of evolving human brains and the ever-present threat of nightmarish creatures is enough to drive the experience.
Sea of Thieves (PS5)
$23.99/£23.99 (-40%)
Sea of Thieves is a brilliant shared world online experience that delivers on the fantasy of being a swashbuckling pirate. You and your crew of buddies man your very own ship, and must scour the seas and numerous islands for buried treasure before cashing it in for upgrades. However, it's never quite that simple, as other online crews may hunt you down, and reanimated skeletons and ghosts will aim to put an end to your quest for loot. Immensely entertaining with a group of friends, this is a fresh and engaging online realm that's always evolving.

Damn. Only interested in Hogwarts and already have it.
Does early access really matter if quantities are unlimited...?
@RoomWithaMoose This
Red dead redemption 2 really is one of the best games ever made we need a 60fps mode can't see it ever happeneling now thpugh
Star Wars battlefront online was so fun back when it came out. I had 2 when it launched and heard it became really good, anyone know if it’s still popular?
@RoomWithaMoose I was just thinking something similar so I'm paying for ps+ and I'm getting early access to sales prices that I'm eventually getting access to at a later date 🤔😅
I might go for dead space 🤔
@Dan12836666 I would replay rdr2 in a heartbeat if they released a 60fps patch.
@RawnDawn dead space was amazing. One of the best horror games I ever played!
People with ps+ should already have the majority of these games one way or another…
I have a few of these. If you are a petrol head then you really can't go wrong with dirt 2.0 although I personally found it incredibly difficult using a control pad. It's sublime with a decent steering wheel and is one of the best rally sims I've played.
@RoomWithaMoose does "Early Access" matter when the majority of the games are already featured in the Mega March sale?
On the list Hogwards is the only good game and I already have the both deluxe versions.
It's the same games from previous sales as early access really
My premium is about to become an essential so it seems like as good a time as any to grab Dying Light 2.
Same game same sales lol. I might get Guardians of the galaxy. Have it on steam deck but run not so good. Game seems fun though
Just bought Grounded full price a few days ago, last time they get me to pay full price -_- Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy is one I will snag up for that price tho!
Half of them are still too expensive.
@Bramble its a decent game that. Longer than i expected too.

I have my eyes on Phantom Liberty with 25% off. Do you think it will get lower than this in the coming months?
If you're interested in thought provoking story telling, Pentiment and The Forgotten City are both all time classic games I can't recomend highly enough.
Some absolute bangers in here.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is also on sale, so to get the base game and the expansion for under £40... it might finally be time for me to jump in.
What a sham of a sale. I've seen lower or the same price cuts last year.
PS Store Sales
@ThaBEN
Have you actually heard anything about RE7 for VR2, do you think it will actually happen at some point?
I wish A Short Hike would hit the 50% off mark. It's been 40% off for too long.
Edit: why does the NEWS Massive PS Store Spring Sale Brings a Crazy 4,500+ PS5, PS4 Game Deals now lead to this article?
Damn still no silent hill
@GemDog669
Unfortunately, no.
Haven is one of those games that has stuck with me long after I played it.
It had a really lovely atmosphere and it was so good at capturing a really sincere relationship. Skating around the world to that music never got old.
Is this the cheapest Baldur's Gate 3 has been so far? Anyone know?
@LieutenantFatman It is tied with the lowest price, in other words we've seen the price before and it is the lowest price.
@extragood
That's great, thank you. 😊
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game can still be claimed as part of the March PS Essential free games.
Why, no discount for "Shadow for the Erdtree" ?
@Bramble if you contact support I've heard stories of them refunding so you can repurchase, I remember this happening with I think Control being on sale right before it was included on PS+ - obviously rumours but worth a try!
You missed out on listing two of arguably the best deals of the Spring sale:
AI: The Somnium Files on sale for $3.99 which is 90% off and I believe the lowest it has ever been on PSN. Great starting point first entry to the series, with a sequel on PSN and a recently announced new entry at the Nintendo Direct coming later this year.
Middle Earth: The Shadow Bundle which comes with both Shadow of War and Shadow of Mordor plus all downloadable content for both games for $6.99. A great deal at that price.
A Short Hike is nothing short of amazing.
Does Sony run these articles only they seem like blatant sale ads to me and more than weekly. Pretty poor
@Darude84 phantom liberty is an incredible game and so is the main game cyberpunk 2077
sorry saving all my pennies for a switch 2 haha
It's always impressive how much value the Witcher 3 has, at this price it's insane.
@Reptilio I'm more interested in the pro patch than a deal
Me, I’m just thrilled I can finally get an even more bargain price on such sleeper hits as “Feed My Raptor”, “The Perplexing Orb: Bounce Challenge”, “Waifu Impact 2”, “Bug-o-Buster”, “Santa’s Spot it”, “Slicy Flips”, “Poopy Time”, “Monkey Kong in New-York”, or (and I am not making this up either) “YEAH! YOU WANT ‘THOSE GAMES,’ RIGHT? SO HERE YOU GO! NOW, LET’S SEE YOU CLEAR THEM! 1+2” 🤪
(dear god.)
@ozkrmz I’m having an eye on this one as well, but according to psprices.com it’s never been on sale in the PS Store.
Dear friend @Darude84
I am afraid so...
But, we may at the verge of our patience pays off (soon).
Fingers crossed.
Many of these games seen lower prices, especially for physical versions
