It's a tough question to answer, because everyone's standards for what's easy and what's hard varies wildly. However, broadly speaking, Astro Bot is a fairly straightforward game in terms of difficulty. You can retry as often as you need to without penalty, and the checkpointing is generous, meaning you'll rarely if ever be put too far back in a level.

The main stages of the game are pretty simple to get through, but the game does also have optional challenge levels that are much tougher. These are not necessarily required in order to finish the game, so if you're worried about the game being too tricky, you can pretty much ignore them.

Astro Bot does contain a few accessibility options that may make the experience a little easier for some people. These include:

  • Inverted camera control: You can swap between normal and inverted camera control to suit your preference.
  • Controller tilt assist: When toggled on, this option replaces any motion sensor functionality with the left stick.
  • Visual aid: When toggled on, this adds visual cues to vibration functions when needed, and certain UI elements will be larger.
  • Camera assist: When toggled on, this allows you to recenter the camera by pressing Circle. Also, if you hold down Circle, you can rotate the camera with the left stick.
