Astro Bot often utilises motion controls throughout the game, such as when you fly into each level, or during certain moments as you progress through the adventure. However, if you can't, or don't want to, use motion controls, there is an option to turn them off completely.

How Do You Disable Motion Controls in Astro Bot?

If you want to switch off motion control functionality in Astro Bot, it's easy to do at any time. Follow these simple steps to disable motion controls in Astro Bot:

  • Pause the game.
  • Press Square to bring up the Options menu.
  • Press R1 to reach the Accessibility tab.
  • The first option here is Controller Tilt Assist, which is set to 'Off' by default.
  • Press Right to toggle this setting to 'On'.
  • Press Circle to back out to the pause screen, and resume the game.

With the Controller Tilt Assist option set to 'On', all motion control is removed from Astro Bot, and you'll complete these actions by using the left stick instead. You won't miss out on anything by doing so, either — you can complete the full game, Trophies and all, without the use of motion control, if you choose.
