How to Catch All Bugsnax in Sizzlin' Sands
Here's a list of every Bugsnak in Sizzlin' Sands and how to catch them.
Black Lollive
Loves: Cheese
Description: Uses its pimento tongue to snatch up anything cheesey.
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: Place down a Trip Shot near the Black Lollive. Coat it in cheese and wait for the Bugsnak to fly down. It will fall to the ground, and you can grab it in your net.
Black Razzby
Loves: Chocolate
Description: A unique Razzby. It will need help escaping the underground.
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: The Black Razzby is underneath the surface in an underground area. After guiding it back up to the surface to complete the quest from Shelda, use chocolate and your Snak Trap to capture it.
Bombino
Loves: Cheese, Hot Sauce
Description: When threatened, this Bugsnak becomes an explosive bomb!
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: On the side quest with Cromdo, a giant pizza cutter will come out of the ground. Use the Snak Grappler to activate it, revealing the Bombino. Pick it up with Square, and carry it to the top of the pyramid. Throw it onto the plinth in the middle. After it explodes, you'll be able to catch it in your net.
Buffalocust
Loves: Ranch Dressing, Hot Sauce
Description: This spicy menace divebombs into its favorite sauces.
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: Place down some sauce on the ground. You want to have a Flapjackarak nearby. After the Buffalocust hits the ground, it'll stay down there for a limited time. Guide the Flapjackarak into it in order to put out the flames. While it's dizzy, run over to it and catch it in your net.
Cheezer
Loves: Cheese
Description: Zips across the dunes at extreme speed. Too bad the Trip Shot doesn't stick to sand.
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: Despite what the description says, it is possible to use the Trip Shot to catch a Cheezer. If you're struggling to find a spot to set this up, you could always lure an aggressive Bugsnak to a Cheezer; it may ram into it, making it dizzy and thus catchable in your net.
Eggler
Loves: Hot Sauce
Description: Without its shell, this egg makes for an easy meal.
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: The first thing you need to do is crack open the egg. Pick it up and throw it. If this doesn't work, throw the egg near an aggressive Bugsnak. When it attacks the egg, it should break open, revealing the Eggler. Once it's "hatched", Egglers are easy to catch. Set down your Snak Trap, and lure it in using hot sauce.
Flapjackarak
Loves: Chocolate, Peanut Butter
Hates: Spuddy
Fears: Preying Picantis
Description: Stirs up dust devils, flinging anything in its path high into the air.
Time Active: 5am to 6pm
How to Catch: Scan one to see its walking path. The best thing to do is set up your Trip Shot somewhere along this route, and wait for the Bugsnak to walk into it. When it does so, simply move in for the capture. Alternatively, you can try to draw an aggressive Bugsnak, such as the Preying Picantis, over to the Flapjackarak. It'll send it flying, and will be catchable when it lands on the ground.
Incherrito
Loves: Cheese, Hot Sauce
Description: As long as it's under the sand, it can't be caught. But it can't dig through solid rock...
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: The Incherrito will surface to wriggle over rocks. Set your Snak Trap up on one of the flat rocks and wait for it to enter the radius.
Loaded Spuddy
Loves: Cheese, Ketchup
Hates: Preying Picantis
Fears: Spuddy
Description: It smashes anything that makes it angry. Which is everything.
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: Set up the Trip Shot somewhere nearby, and either lure the Loaded Spuddy with ketchup or get it to charge at you. When it runs into the trip wire, run up and grab it with your net.
Meaty Snakpod
Description: Hidden around the Sizzlin' Sands. Thrives in the arid climate.
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: Snakpods are easy to catch. They don't move, so once you find one, just approach it and pick it up with Square. If you can't reach it, use the Snak Grappler to snag it.
Mothza Supreme (Legendary)
Loves: Cheese, Ranch Dressing
Description: Looks like it could use a good slicing.
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: Mothza Supreme is a Legendary Bugsnak. For more on how to best these special Bugsnax, see our guide: Bugsnax: How to Defeat All Legendary Bugsnax.
Preying Picantis
Loves: Hot Sauce, Cheese
Fears: Spuddy
Description: Large, aggressive, and destructive. Best to be avoided.
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: These are tricky to capture because they're on fire. The easiest thing to do is get one to chase you, and lead it to a body of water. However, before you do that, you should set up a Trip Shot to lead it into after it's been cooled down. If you do it right, it'll walk into the Trip Shot and be stunned, allowing you to pick it up.
Scorpepper
Loves: Hot Sauce, Cheese
Description: Lurks invisibly on desert rocks, and roasts anything that gets too close.
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: One of these can be seen on the side of a large rock with a Grumpus carved into the top. The easiest thing to do is to lure the Scorpepper over to the water using a trail of cheese. Once it gets near the water, a Sodie D will splash water onto it, making it easy to catch in your net.
Sodie D
Hates: Fire, Hot Sauce, Ranch Dressing, Cheese
Description: This liquidy bug lives in the oasis and won't tolerate the presence of sauce.
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: Like other Sodie type Bugsnax, lure the Sodie D out of the water by using one of the sauces it hates. Set up your Snak Trap as well, and when it wanders inside, activate it.
Tacroach
Loves: Cheese, Hot Sauce
Description: A very timid snak. It seems easy to catch.
Time Active: All day
How to Catch: An easy one — pop down the Snak Trap, and lure the Tacroach with a sauce it likes. Activate the trap once it's inside.
