Holding On is a Main Quest in Final Fantasy 16, following on from Homecoming. As part of our Final Fantasy 16 guide, we're going to explain everything you need to know about Holding On.

Holding On: Walkthrough
Holding On has you heading north out of Martha's Rest, heading towards Eastpool. Make your way over the mended bridge.
This is another relatively open area full of enemies and items to discover. Explore as much as you want, and when you're ready, head towards the quest marker, passing through Greensheaves then Rhiannon's Ride and The Broken Hilt.
Upon reaching the marker, watch the cutscene. Afterwards, you'll have another quest marker to follow, this time leading you to Phoenix Gate. As you head out of Eastpool, don't forget to restock at the merchant. As you approach the exit, a cutscene will play.
This triggers a new quest, Back in the Day, which you must complete before continuing. Click the link for more information.
With that diversion done, continue to the exit and head towards the marker. The Dim has one or two items to pick up, but little else — simply follow the path along towards Phoenix Gate. When you reach the marker, you'll get another cutscene.
Afterwards, fast travel to Phoenix Gate Ruins to conclude the quest.
