Want to know more about the Battle Pass and how to level up quickly in MultiVersus? As with most live service and free-to-play games, MultiVersus has a Battle Pass, granting dedicated players a bunch of rewards depending on how much they play. As part of our MultiVersus guide, we're going to explain the game's Battle Pass and how to level up quickly.
MultiVersus: Battle Pass Explained and How to Level Up Quickly
Let's go through everything you need to know about the Battle Pass in MultiVersus, as well as how to progress through it and level up quickly.
What Is the Battle Pass in MultiVersus?
MultiVersus has a Battle Pass, a very common progression system found in live service games of all types. As you play MultiVersus, you will steadily earn XP, which goes towards leveling up the Battle Pass and progressing through each tier. As you reach each level, you'll be rewarded with various cosmetic items, in-game currencies, or Gems for Rifts mode.
Essentially, the more you play MultiVersus, the more you'll progress the Battle Pass, which means more rewards.
The Battle Pass will refresh every time MultiVersus enters a new Season, offering brand new rewards for you to earn.
Is There a Free Battle Pass in MultiVersus?
Not exactly, no — but you can get free rewards. At specific levels of the Battle Pass, the rewards it offers are available for you to claim, even if you haven't paid for the premium Battle Pass. So, if you don't want to shell out any money, you can still get about half of the Battle Pass's rewards. If you choose to pay for the Battle Pass, you'll unlock access to the other half.
How Much Does the Battle Pass Cost in MultiVersus?
If you want full access to the entire Battle Pass in MultiVersus, you'll have to pay. The Premium Battle Pass costs 950 Gleamium, which is MultiVersus' premium currency.
To afford this, you can buy a pack of 1,000 Gleamium from the PS Store, which costs $9.99/£7.99. Alternatively, you can earn some Gleamium in the game without having to pay up, though this will obviously take longer.
How Do You Level Up Quickly in MultiVersus?
If you want to unlock all those rewards in the Battle Pass, you'll need to level it up. Each new level grants you a new reward, and there are dozens of levels to work through. In order to level up in MultiVersus, you need to focus on earning XP.
XP is what fills the Battle Pass' progression meter, leveling it up and unlocking those rewards. There are numerous ways to earn XP in MultiVersus. Let's go through them here:
Events
MultiVersus has various limited-time Events available to you. These Events task you with completing specific goals within the game, and have their own reward tiers to work through. Often, these rewards will be decent amounts of XP for the Battle Pass, so it's definitely worth checking the current Events. You can check Events by tabbing over to Events with L1 and R1 in the main menu.
Missions
There are lots of Missions available to complete in MultiVersus, and these are likely to be where you earn most of your Battle Pass XP. On the Missions menu, you can see various categories, and within each of these are numerous objectives for you to fulfil. These are all very achievable goals, such as logging into MultiVersus each day, playing as specific characters, or winning online matches. Missions are also time-limited, depending on their category.
Your main source of XP income will likely be the Daily and Weekly Missions, which offer up pretty simple tasks you should easily be able to get through if you're playing MultiVersus on a regular basis. The Weekly Missions in particular will cough up a good amount of XP, so it's well worth your time to check them and try to complete them all and maximise your XP.
Gleamium
If you want, you can also purchase Battle Pass tiers using Gleamium. Via the in-game Store, go into the Battle Pass section and you'll see you can spend Gleamium to get the premium Battle Pass, or you can opt for the premium Battle Pass + 10 tiers, immediately progressing through the first page of the Battle Pass.
