Vampyr is a PlayStation 4 game released in June 2018 by developer DONTNOD Entertainment. Best known for the Life Is Strange series, this is a new IP that has just hit PS Plus as one of October 2020's free PS4 titles. We awarded the game a 6/10 in our Vampyr PS4 review, describing it as an experience with "a ton of interesting ideas, an intriguing world, and a great cast of characters".
In this Vampyr guide, we're going to share our beginner's tips and tricks to help you suck the most blood out of 1918's London. We're also going to reveal the location of all Collectibles and all Weapons. That includes melee weapons, ranged weapons, and off-hand weapons. This page will also include some Trophy guides, revealing how to save this poor plant with water and how to turn all districts to hostile status.
Vampyr Guide: All Collectibles and Weapons
Vampyr has 30 Collectibles, 20 Melee Weapons, 13 Off-Hand Weapons, and 11 Ranged Weapons for you to find throughout its semi-open world. Because of that structure, you may encounter certain collectibles and weapons out of the order of this guide. Not to worry, if we detail one you've already picked up, simply move onto the next.
Vampyr has a total of seven chapters, but you must find every Collectible and Weapon before the end of the sixth chapter. A point of no return occurs here, and so this guide will touch on the collectibles and weapons close to the critical path before providing a full mop up in chapter six. Below you'll find guides to all Vampyr Collectibles and Weapons in an order closest to the main path.

Vampyr Guide: Tips and Tricks for Beginners
Vampyr is not an overly difficult game by any means, but it always helps to go into proceedings with some help to ensure you get the most out of the experience. Since choices and decisions are at the heart of the game, you wouldn't want to make an early mistake that you'll live to regret 10 hours down the line. Therefore, we've put together some universal tips and tricks to give you a headstart in Vampyr. Read through these carefully to ensure you're fully prepared for what's to come.
Level Up Your Stamina Early On
With the amount of vampiric abilities at your disposal, it might be easy to forget about the basics of your health and stamina as you begin to upgrade your character. That's okay to a point, but you will want to invest in increasing your stamina during the first couple of hours. This gauge determines how often you can attack, a lot like a Dark Souls game, so committing a couple of points there early on will ensure fights aren't quite as tough as they need to be.
Don't Embrace Any Citizens Straight Away
There are many patients inside Pembroke Hospital that, on the face of things, look like a great source of blood and items. However, don't give into that temptation straight away because you can lose access to questlines by killing off certain characters. The rewards at the end of those optional missions are likely to be better than a quick dose of blood so be very selective about who you choose to embrace and who you let live.
Take Fights Slowly if You're Underlevelled
Both the protagonist and the enemies you encounter all have a level associated with them, but it's not completely game over if you end up in a scrap with a monster of a higher level than you. Play things slowly, take advantage of the dodge mechanic, and only land a couple of hits when you're sure there's a wide enough opening to retreat afterwards. It may sound like simple stuff, but you shouldn't place quite as much importance on an enemy's rank. They can be overcome with good timing and patience.
That brings our Vampyr guide to a conclusion. Hopefully, this will help you get the most out of the latest free PS Plus game. If you have any further tips, tricks, and guides to share, feel free to post them in the comments below.
