We can now probably safely assume that Sony’s big Black Friday push in the United States will revolve around Grand Theft Auto V and The Last of Us: Remastered. Following leaks earlier in the month, three of the nation’s biggest retailers have now revealed that you’ll be able to pick up the Japanese giant’s next-gen machine alongside the two aforementioned re-releases for $399.99 this coming holiday. You may want to start lining up now...
As already alluded, you’ll definitely be able to nab the abovementioned bundle from Walmart, or opt for a standalone system with a $50 gift card for the same cut-price sum. The retail giant will also be temporarily discounting the PlayStation Camera to $39.96, while additional DualShock 4 controllers will sell for the same reduced figure.
Games will also be on sale prior to Christmas, with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare available for $49.96 from Walmart, and inFAMOUS: Second Son going as low as $25. If that doesn’t float your boat, Target will be giving away $15 gift cards with titles such as WWE 2K15 and Far Cry 4, while it’ll also have Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and The Evil Within available for $25 apiece.
Naturally, you’ll be able to nab the aforementioned hardware bundle from Target as well, starting from 18:00PM on Thanksgiving. If that’s too late in the day for you, then Best Buy will be carrying it from 17:00PM, alongside discounted copies of Alien: Isolation and Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition for $29.99 apiece. We’ll have a full rundown of all of the best offers prior to the shopping event, but do let us know if anything’s taking your fancy down below.

Is "leaked" the correct word to use in the title when these stores are sending out emails w/ the links to their own websites w/ the ads on them? "Published" might be better. It is nice of you to put them all in 1 place though.

Just remember it's not all fun and games:

@rjejr I guess. Some of the sources I used were just scanned fliers - a lot of these do seem to be official now, though, you're right.
@get2sammyb - Yeah, I'm really bad at getting my point across in a non-sacastic manner, but some people don't believe the "leaks" until they are made official, and these are all official sales at this point. I think the retailers gave up trying to squash stuff, they don't have the money that the movie and music studios do for lawyers, they might as well drive traffic to their own websites rather than all the "leak" sites. Makes sense.
I'd like to see Vita price drops. I think they should sell it in stand-alone editions in the U.S.: black and white as color options, at $139.99 or $159.99, and memory cards at $10, $20, $40, $60 respectively (introducing the 64gb option to the west and no longer selling 4gb versions).
The Vita's built up quite a good library by now, with a lot of titles that aren't found anywhere else.
These are gonna fly off the shelves.
stoked. gonna get me a playstation camera and a new DS4 seeing as my x button seems to have started sticking
I might pick up a second controller.
What will Black Friday be like after consoles stop being the medium that delivers our Fallout 5s and Half-life 3s? I, for one, will miss the awesome system box art.
While that $400 PS4 GTAV-TLoU deal is amazing, I'm probably more likely to just get some old 2012-2013 PS3 games and gift cards etc.
I'm hoping for Mass Effect Trilogy, Dead Space 3, Batman: Arkham Origins, and maybe The Last of Us. I might just wait for the TLoU GotY Edition, assuming NA ever gets it.
