SEGA smashes Shenmue and Streets of Rage are set to receive special edition vinyl soundtracks this September – and just so you don't panic, you're definitely still reading this in 2015. London-based record label Data Discs will be handling the uber-limited LPs. We imagine that the firm's based in Shoreditch and only hires advocates of drain pipe jeans and skinny ties.
The records will be available to order from 30th May when the company's website officially opens. There's no word on a price just yet, but you can listen to some samples from Yu Suzuki's legendary forklift driving simulation through here. Apparently, the original audio's been remastered ready for its release on wax. The theme tune still gives this author shivers – don't leave, Nozomi!

Will buy! (If affordable.)
Streets of rage 4 woo hoo. Lol. Seen this on a sister site before Yuzo Koshiro is my hero flew to Japan in 2001 to see him and I absolutely love his tunes, Attack the barbarian, spin on the bridge, the poets, blue moon. A cracking artist and music programmer and how he went from the decent revenge of shinobi music to the absolutely genre defining streets of rage 2 is beyond me. Funnily max man (the Shiva tune end level sor2) was written by someone else.
The trendier parts of Shoreditch.
Yeah vinyl is making a huge combat. I was in a bookstore today and they had a huge section of nothing but vinyl.
I don't think I've ever used Vinyl tbh.
" just so you don't panic, you're definitely still reading this in 2015. "
Vinyl is selling more now than it has done in the last 24 years (when it started being tracked, sales wise).
I buy most music on vinyl directly from bands now, that way they get paid more. I also get that nice big artwork and sleeve notes, plus it sounds really nice on a decent stereo.
Sorry, ranting a bit there. Apart from gaming, music is my thing.
Omg so getting that streets of rage vinyl great music right there
@Johnnycide I know, I know. T'was just a joke!
