If there was ever any doubt of the target market for the Ratchet & Clank Movie, then this TV commercial just about sums it up. It centres on the Sheepinator, and actually caught us a little off guard – it may just be so bad that it's good. It got an unexpected giggle out of us anyway – but we're not sure it's going to make anyone want to see the film.

Just made me remember why I hate most movie trailers, to be honest.
What... the... chuff was that?
I don't even think this movie will play around here, but that commercial doesn't do it any favours.
As a kiwi, this type of advertising is right on the money.
Daf** was that? xD
It was funny...the wtf is this kinda funny
16 seconds is only half of a tv commercial, typically 30 seconds, so maybe when coupled w/ another 14 second spot it comes across better?
Though I don't watch a lot of kids tv any more, so I suppose 16 seconds could be the norm now. Or maybe it's just meant to be embedded inside of one of those Angry bird mobile games? I've noticed mobile ads tend to be shorter.
@rjejr I just lost hope in this. Coupled with the new release dates, lack of pushing from Sony despite having a movie and this advertisement....existing....jesus christ.
We get that gaming has moved to more mature stuff but at least kill the other stuff quietly. This is just getting painful
@BLPs Oh the movie is going to be great, don't let a bad 15 second clip get you down on it. Graphics, audio, action, comedy, this one is a winner for anybody who likes the games and characters.
Of course I still probably won't see it in theaters, I just cant spend $60 for a family of 4 - one of the downsides of living in NY - but Day 1 in Redbox on blu-ray for $2.
Meh. Needs a way better advertisement to do it justice. But it's not Uncharted, so.....
I'm still going to see the movie and get the game, but hopefully this isn't the best Sony can do for R&C.
Meh, as long as the disco ball and (especially) Mr Zurkon are in the movie, me happy.
Frankly, that was way better than I was expecting from the comments.
It's only a teaser trailer to present the look of the movie and show the main characters. Nothing in there tells you whether it will be good or bad. I was just pleased it didn't make me think the film was going to be awful.
Uh... what the hell did I just watch?
So they are trying to have the same target audience as kindergarten'ers with adhd. Aka the 'Minions' fanbase. Great. JK Of course it's a kids movie but I dunno. Why does everything have to be so obnoxious these days.
