It's already leaked on the flyers of every major retailer in the United States, but Sony has now confirmed that the PlayStation 4 will plunge to $249.99 starting 24th November through Cyber Monday on 28th November. It's the 500GB Slim model of the console that will be available, alongside copies of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. That's a decent saving on a very strong bundle.

It's the only bundle that Sony's offering this Black Friday, which is in stark contrast to its competitor Microsoft, who has assembled several different packages. Focusing on one particular SKU means that the Japanese giant can really stuff the channel, though, and we'd be surprised if the bundle didn't sell out. It'll then probably restock in December with a competitive Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare option.

Sony is a little late to the party with that announcement as those flyers have been out at least a week already. And almost none of them have Pro.
I am really curious to see how well a $249 Slim bundle sells compared to a $399 Pro console but not sure we'll ever get those numbers individually. X1S may win the holiday on variety and so many people already owing a PS4.
Nintendo fans should buy 1 or the other, home gamers have been left out to dry this holiday. Even NES Mini is almost impossible to get. Nintendo should have built literal walls of those $59.99 boxes in front of the PS4 and X1S displays. And banner ads every page on Amazon. But no, Super Mario Run on Apple is best they got.
That's a deal for sure.
$99 New 3DS, $250 PS4 and $250 Xbox One.
Even the jobless could afford those prices. And the employed... well you may as well just grab all 3
Makes no sense why are they not discounting the Pro
@hieveryone To be fair, it does. I can't imagine stock of the Pro is too high now, and any units they do have in the chain will likely sell out at full-price. Reducing the price lower will only serve to increase demand they can't supply, and cut into their bottom line.
Going with the Slim this year is fine. Next year, they'll obviously need to look to reducing the Pro as well.
I was planning on getting the Pro, but they sure are making it hard for me to choose that over this.
@hieveryone Wouldnt have expected any discounts on the Pro myself, it's not even been out a month...
@Giygas_95
I'd say for people on a budget the Slim is a good idea but if this is going to be your first PS4 and you have the money to spend, the Pro is the better option even if you don't have a 4K tv.
