It's safe to assume that most people who play Mass Effect: Andromeda won't be in it for the multiplayer component - and that's totally fine - but we were fans of Mass Effect 3's co-op offering, so we're actually quite looking forward to seeing whether this new entry in the series can live up to the legacy.
Fortunately, things do look quite promising in the game's latest trailer. Once again, teams of up to four players will tackle waves of enemies, complete randomised objectives, and safely extract across a set of different maps. There are a bunch of characters, weapons, and skills to unlock as you go, supposedly making the multiplayer a solid secondary option if you're just looking for some action.
Andromeda launches in just over a week on PlayStation 4, but will you be trying the co-op out? Choose your allies carefully in the comments section below.

I'd be interested in the universe as a whole as I never played mass effect but this kind of multiplayer content looks as bland as can be to me.
I hate enemy waves in games, dunno why, they just irritate me.
@VotesForCows Yes, Jennifer Hale IS Commander Shepard. All those bro Sheps are just phonies like Conrad Verner.
@ApostateMage @VotesForCows I like Hale as well but come on - Mark Meer is great as male Shepard!
@ShogunRok I only played as man Shep in the first ME and he had less emotion than Geralt of Rivia.
@VotesForCows @ApostateMage I'm sorely disappointed in both of you.
Nah, I'm just way more used to male Shepard because I stuck with him for most of my playthroughs. I... I had to romance Miranda.
@ApostateMage Lol which can be explained since he's a Witcher with no emotions!
The 'say goodnight Manuel' line in the first Mass Effect is good proof that Hale was leagues ahead of Meer as Shep's VO. I heard Meer was very good in ME3, though.
Jennifer Hale is fantastic but I never liked what Femshep looked like in 1 or 2. I know you could tweak her look but still was never great.
They did do a better job in that department in the 3rd game.
Also Tali is Shep's true love and anyone that says other wise is wrong...
