Call of Cthulhu, the action role-playing game inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s supernatural stories, has received a new trailer at E3 2017 – though it’s not the gameplay trailer you may have been hoping for. Instead the cinematic piece introduces us to Private Investigator Edward Pierce, whose perception of reality is being influenced by the Great Dreamer’s sphere of influence.
There’s still not really much to say here because, while the mood of the trailer is good, we still can’t really comment on how the Cyanide Studios developed title will play. Hopefully the developer will have more to show in the future, because we feel like this game has played host to one too many CG trailers at this point.

Man I can't wait to get my hands on this
Thematically interesting but not convinced the game-play will deliver... Will have to wait and see I guess...
Last Cthulhu game I played was the excellent Dark Corners Of The Earth on the original Xbox, and it was an awesome game. H.P. Lovecraft's stories are brilliant so my interest in this new game is right up there.
Will continue to keep an eye out, but so far not swayed either way on purchasing.
That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange aeons even death may die.
@BAMozzy here's a link to a great load of info, sounds promising 👻

@jacobia Thanks for that - sounds kind of interesting but it also sounds a bit like a 'walking' sim with a horror theme. Walking around 'investigating' and trying not to go 'crazy'. It looks a bit more interesting than 'some' of these type of games like Amnesia although it does seem to share a lot of similarities too.
Will keep my eye on it but not sure if its a 'purchase' - not yet at least!
@BAMozzy my pleasure. Yeah, I love the horror genre, but I much prefer to have combat in survival horror games, like Silent Hill, rather than run and hide stuff. Yeah, I'm quite stoked for the investigative gameplay in CoC, just hope all the elements come together to make a great experience. The developer is certainly saying the right stuff.
