Well would you look at that - a PS4 Pro that isn't standard matte black. Sony has revealed that a special 'glacier white' system will be bundled with Destiny 2, which will launch on the 6th September in North America and Europe. The console will boast a 1TB hard drive and, of course, a matching DualShock 4 controller. The bundle will also include a 'digital content pack', which grants access to the shooter's expansion pass and a few other bits of downloadable content.
The package will set you back $449.99 in the United States, while up in Canada, its recommended retail price is $549.99. We don't have any European prices just yet, but we'll update this article if we spot them. The bundle is also up for pre-order starting today in North America.
What do you make of the first special edition PS4 Pro? Do you prefer white consoles to black ones? Sweep away that dust in the comments section below.
Update: The bundle is priced at £399.99 here in the UK.

Well there it is, the bundle I've been waiting for. Just waiting for the preorder to go up, I have a feeling it'll be a lot easier to get than a NES or SNES mini
At that price it certainly is a "Limited edition" as it says on the box and not any real attempt to make Pro the main selling PS4 system.
Nice to see, not going to move the needle on that 4-1 Slim to Pro ratio.
Always hated limited edition consoles and I can't see me changing my mind about that. Original colours all the way baby!
@RedMageLanakyn Well if the NES or SNES minis cost $450 they would probably be easier to get. Heck, you could probably easily get both on eBay now for less than that combined.
That's way too much money for that system especially not for Destiny 2
Ohhhh! I want! Pretty lame game to choose to bundle it with though. Early analysis show it's not exactly a great example of Pro support. I was really hoping for GT Sport bundle
Come oooooooon GoW bundle!
So many colours!
Mann that sure looks great. Would look great with my current set up.
If only I could justify buying another PS4...
@rjejr Ha! That is so sad, yet so true.....
How bout you make better quality controllers first before worrying about different colored PS4s, eh Sony.
Looks nice but not enough to buy one.
The first one is way better, there's no logo on this one.
@Tasuki What's wrong with the controllers besides a poor battery life? I just picked up one of the revisions a few weeks ago and it seems pretty solid, even has a better battery than my launch DS4
Sakes man, I just bought a ps4 pro last Thursday lol
I prefer black honestly when it comes to Sony's consoles . Does the PS4 Pro remind anyone of a Big Mac ?
@RedMageLanakyn I posted it in the thread Dualshock wear and tear. But basically I am on my 6th DS4 controller.
@Tasuki Wow, that's not good at all. I still have my launch DS4 and it's been delegated to backup PC controller because I'm tired of charging it every 4 hours. I don't know what to say about going through 5 of them though, if that happened to me I would probably sell my system to cut my losses!
So they went worth the same color scheme of the original Destiny 1 bundle. My white PS4 looks great sitting next to my other black consoles (OG Xbox, fat PS2, Neo Geo CMVS, and the N64).
@RedMageLanakyn What's sad is I have spent enough on controllers that I could have bought an Xbox One.
@Tasuki Is it issues with the buttons, thembsticks, losing connection? All of the above? I noticed a few of my friends with PS4s that lived in apartments and had a ton of electronics had some connection issues, and bought some 15ft usb cables which seemed to solve the problem. It's not elegant, but is an option if you live somewhere with a lot of electronic interference.
@Tasuki I've had my 20th anniversary dualshock for 18 months now and no issues at all, honestly I don't know what people do with them so that they wear out so quickly.
@RedMageLanakyn It's the thumbsticks. They will stop working and get stuck in a position for few seconds. For example in CoD, my guy will start turning to the right and start doing a 360 for a few seconds. In something like the Crew, I will be driving my car and then all of a sudden it will veir right for a few seconds. Even if I don't press right.
@adf86 Yea, I still have my launch controllers and I have 3 kids that break everything they see. Glad mine are still fine! Other than battery life, they are great. @Tasuki So you are replacing DS4's at around the same intervals everyone was replacing their 360's back in day..thsts crazy! 😂
@Tasuki Do all of the other buttons and triggers work correctly when this happens? I know it's a long shot, i would say if you have an extra USB cable try it plugged in if you haven't already, just to rule out some kind of crazy latency issue. I honestly can't even think of a way you could be torquing them to cause that.
@RedMageLanakyn I do have a USB cord (it's plugged into the charger atm).
If you have $450 to spend, you might as well spend the extra $50 and buy the xbox one x and Destiny 2. It will look better on that console.
Yeah, white consoles look better (see: Wii). Just with a colour change, this looks better than a normal Pro.
@rjejr They will cost that much! .. well, at least the ones you can actually get your hands on from sleazy scalpers.
White consoles - Yeah Baby! Packed with Destiny2 - meh, shovelware part 2
@Party_Cannon "They will cost that much!"
The NES Mini cost $60, the SNES Mini will cost $80. Nintendo didn't make nearly enough NES so they were really only available for a lot more than that on eBay. Nintneo has announced the SNES will only be on sale in 2017 so the price on eBay is likely to be even higher. I was only joking around w/ the other guy about the price.
