PlayStation 4 port of PlayStation 3 remaster of Nintendo 3DS ex-exclusive Resident Evil Revelations will board Sony’s new-gen system on 29th August for $19.99. The game – which is being billed as a kind of definitive version of the survival horror shooter – will boast 1080p visuals, and will bundle in all downloadable content.
Here’s the story synopsis: “Chris Redfield goes missing in action during a mission, forcing the BSAA to dispatch Jill Valentine on a search-and-rescue operation. She arrives at her target location to find an extravagant cruise liner floating in the middle of the ocean. Jill makes her way through winding corridors filled with perilous traps and horrifying creatures, and soon finds that she has only just scratched the surface of a horrifying conspiracy.”
We thought this game was fine on the PS3, but its portable origins were peeking through even in 2013, so we’re not sure how well it’ll hold up on the PS4 four years later. “It sits somewhere above mediocrity, delivering an occasionally tense survival action experience that’s undone by its overwhelming predictability,” we wrote. “There are some neat moments on offer, and the Raid mode is a surprisingly enjoyable addition, but it’s a largely forgetful title, lost in a sea of much more memorable adventures.”

It's not perfect, but it was a huge step up from RE5/6. I'm curious to see how it translates as a more high-definition experience.
I quite enjoyed this when I played it on my 3DS but I only paid £4 for it. I don't think it's worth £20.
Eh I'd need some new content to bother with it.
It was good for the 3DS but I wouldn't play it again, why do we keep getting so many ports of these games yet Resident Evil 2 and 3 (the best in the series) are nowhere to be found?
I pre-ordered it, and I'm looking forward to go for platinum all over again. I know many doesn't like this one but I like it a lot. It's not perfect by any means, but there is something about it I just can't get enough of ☺ Raid Mode is awesome, especially when played together with a friend.
There are points in the game that made me recall the tension and jumpscares from the original trilogy. There are annoying parts as well, like when playing the first snow level for the third time, and just wants to get it over with and return to Jills adventure on the ship. In my book it's a great game with some drawbacks, but none of them is gamebreaking.
While it may seem useless, i think it's commendable how Capcom are making all the major RE games available to play on this generation of platforms, let's hope a Resi 3 remake isn't far off from the second title.
Liking the subheader reference. Good puns ahoy!
@Ralizah you right it's not perfect it's awesome and amazing
