It's a notion that's been thrown around for years, but that doesn't make it any less true: CD Projekt Red really is a class act. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Witcher series of games, the studio has released a specially-made video to mark the occasion. It features Geralt and many of his friends as they pass on a heartfelt thanks to fans. Lovely stuff.
What's next for the franchise is anyone's guess at this point. As for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt -- the only instalment to have appeared on a PlayStation platform -- that's supposed to be getting a PS4 Pro patch in the relatively near future. We'll keep you updated on that front.

CDPR is my favorite company. Great video.
They have got to make game with Ciri as the lead.
Love it! Cheers CD Projekt Red. Now, about that Witcher 1&2 remaster...
@ApostateMage - That would be great. I tried to play the first one on PC but hate playing games with keyboard and mouse.
Awww the feels. I miss Geralt...I should replay the game.
That gave me chills. What a fantastic video for my favorite game of maybe all-time.
Thank you CDPR.
Are we gonna get a 10th Anniversary Edition?
I'm hoping for at least a steelbook edition with all 3 games.
Would be Epic if there will be a CE with a Geralt statue. I really like that.
Damn the feels, even roach is inside the house, ah man they have got to make a sequel.
@Kidfried Looks good. I was invited to the beta last year, but it felt too much pay-to-win to me. I couldn't win a single match because the starter deck was pretty crappy. Didn't want to invest too much in a game that's still in beta...
Anyway, I like the idea of a campaign, I always love it if there's plenty to do offline. Gwent was one of my favourite things in TW3.
@Bingoboyop Would've been more appropriate if he was on the roof
Love it, great video, amazing developer. Easily one of the best out there.
these people work with love and appreciate art... great video
The more I think about The Witcher 3, the more it makes me wish for a PS4 remaster of The Witcher 1 and 2.
Bloody hell... Really gives you the goosebumps! Time to jump back I think..!
CD Projekt Red to everyone involved Thank you.
I think one of my NY's resolutions for next year is to play TW3 including all DLC. I have too many games on my plate this year and I am a little burnt out on open worlds after HZD and Zelda but I really need to play this game.
Much as I loved the Witcher 2, it really is a product of its time compared to the Witcher 3. Still a fantastic game but anyone expecting the same sort of thing to the 3rd may be a little disappointed. Its almost like going back and playing the original Fallout after really enjoying 3...
I didn't play the 1st game myself as it was PC only. The second is great but the 3rd set new benchmarks for RPG's and set a standard by which others will now be judged against.
Its such a great RPG, that I have bought it twice - once for each platform I game on - and all the DLC too...
@Rudy_Manchego HZD and Zelda
I'm in the same boat. Just finished Zelda, wanting to get Horizon and at this point waiting on the upcoming DLC, but I really want to play Witcher 3. I've seen 1 and 2 on PC and they are too brown and PC looking for me, I'm a console gamer only. But this weekend I started Kingdoms of Amalur:Reckoning, b/c I bought it awhile back and figured it was time, and as soon as I hit the first town I started thinking about Witcher 3, it has to be similar. So I'm glad I'm playing KoA:R first, b/c for a PS3 game it looks pretty horrific. Don't think I'd play it after the Witcher.
@rjejr Yep, and it is one of those problems of huge open world games. There are some great ones out there the time investment is means a lot of investment. However, I know that TW3 is considered one of the best games this gen and I ought to give it a go. HZD is a bit shorter than Zelda or TW3 (from what I understand) and more action orientated but still a good 50 hours ish.
I would be great if they remade the first two games for the PS4,
@Rudy_Manchego I spent 175 hours on Zelda - basically played it non-stop from mid-July - after the DLC released - to last Monday, and I'm still going thru withdrawals. KoA;R is more JRPG like, and is supposed to run around 30 for the main story but I think I'm looking at 60 as I tend to do sidequests. H:ZD looks much more like a story driven Sony type game, so I'm guessing 30 for that. Witcher 3 w/ the 2 DLC packs in the complete version I know I'll be over 100 hours.
But my biggest concern is, I'm a big JRPG guy the last 20 years since FF7, and I have XC2, NNK2 and DQ11 starting at Christmas if Ntinedo is to be believed, my family still doubts XC2 in 2017, XC took 2 years to make it West. So that's basically all of 2018 for me. So I'll squeeze in H:ZD but W3 is probably 2019 at this point. May as well wait for the 4k PS5 version at this rate.
Congrats on 10 years! Have to admit that I've only played The Witcher 3 (Wild Hunt) but had an absolute blast with it and thoroughly enjoyed the many, many hours I put into it (and it's 2 expansions). I still want to play it again one day - on new game plus mode - but will wait for the PS4 Pro patch first.
They made a wallpaper of that final shot there at the end with the group. It's on the Witcher site...and now it's my background.
Wow, i Sure muss the Witcher. Not everyone can be as cool as cd project red... looking at you Bethesda and BioWare 😏
@Rudy_Manchego I've put 70 hours into Horizon, 100 something into Zelda and my Witcher 3 (+DLC) playthrough lasted me 200+ hours. No regrets though, I enjoyed every single minute spent on that game. It's gotta be one of my favourite games, I don't think I could play it again anytime soon though. Maybe in a year or two from now...
@Octane I loved Horizon and Zelda and don't regret my time on either, loved both and I know I will like The Witcher but they do take an awful lot of time and then my backlog gets even bigger!
@Rudy_Manchego Yup, I know. Apart from Mario Odyssey, I'm all set for the rest of the year. Well, there's the Horizon DLC, but for the rest I can work on my backlog. Next year is going to be busy with Spider-Man, GOW, MH, SOTC, and hopefully Days Gone later that year. I think that Days Gone and Monster Hunter are going to be my big games of 2018. I don't really like to play more than two open world games a year, preferably just one.
@Splat Did you try with http://ds4windows.com? It makes you use and customize the controller but I don't know if it could help with older games...
