Red Faction: Guerrilla, the entertaining open world destruction simulation, appears to be heading to the PlayStation 4 – well, that’s if various GameStop listings are accurate. The title popped up on the websites of multiple European branches, with no release date attached. THQ Nordic has kept itself busy remastering various products in its portfolio, so it’s easy to believe that this is real.
Of course, we’ll reach out to the company to try and get some confirmation. It’s been a whopping nine years since Red Faction: Guerrilla first released, so it’ll be interesting to see how it holds up now. We did thoroughly enjoy the destructive gameplay at the time, though – there hasn’t been anything quite like it since either.

Weird. I loved RF1 and 2 but never got into this one. Had a little go on PS Now.
I'd be interested.
I remember i enjoyed my time with this game but i couldnt tell you anything about the story XD
Guerilla was very good, gave you some great toys to level buildings with and you felt like you had a few different options on how to approach some of the missions. Story wasn't anything to write home about, just the miners revolting against the military on Mars. Great game play but characters weren't very memorable.
@YummyHappyPills i believe thats armageddon the game after this one.
I kinda liked Armageddon. I mean, I played it through to the end, and that’s saying something considering the hundreds of games I started and never finished. I really did enjoy the destruction element in Guerrilla, though. Give me a big hammer, and I’ll have fun busting up whatever you need destroyed...this planet, Mars, wherever. 👍
I really like how Nordic is using its THQ library, it's reminding me how many weird little games THQ pumped out over the years.
My friend and I had so much hilarious fun playing this.
We always loved destroying everything with our mighty hammer and watching enemies fly through the air with a simple swing.
Good times.
If this is true, I'll probably get this! Guerilla was one of my favorite PS3 games.
@YummyHappyPills The sad thing is, Armageddon had some of the most fun and amazing weapons for causing destruction, and you had a gadget that could instantly rebuild stuff. If it had kept the same formula as Guerrilla, it could have been really great, but it turned into a pretty boring 3rd person shooter.
That said, Mr. Toots was one of the best rewards for finishing a game that I've ever seen...
@Cassetticons agreed but they do need to make sure these remasters are good quality. I love darksiders but the audio sync in the cutscenes were so bad in the remaster that i didnt play alot.
Woooow, one of my favourite action games might be coming to the PS4? These are the kind of games I want remasters of; simple, joyous fun.
They don't have to do that much to remaster it, just make it look prettier and change nothing else.
Love to know why my comments are always deleted in here, I don't use any swear words etc all I said was the story was good but if it were to have this remaster the MP should be removed because the stats where saved to your PS3 not on servers so you lose the save you lose your stats and that comment gets deleted
Red Faction: Guerrilla was boring, much prefered Armageddon.
What a game, if you haven't played this I highly recommend it, you can literally destroy every building on the game with a hammer and bombs
Loved this game. Dismantling buildings was so satisfying. Plus, the multiplayer was excellent too.
