We recently received confirmation of a release date for THQ Nordic's upcoming sequel, Darksiders III, and courtesy of IGN, a decent chunk of gameplay is now available.
In the video above, you can see main character Fury hacking and slashing her way through various beasties (including a mini boss towards the end) and solving some basic environmental puzzles. It looks like it'll be pretty fun action/adventure fare when it releases in November.

I'm excited i'm currently replaying the first two remasters before te third comes out
Come Home Sammy
lookin good
It looks 'ok' - nothing special. Sometimes I think that Fury isn't 'connected' to the world - almost seems super-imposed on to the backdrop rather being planted in it.
Game-play looks ok, nothing special - not something I feel I 'must' have or want to pre-order. Its one of those that I may buy if its on offer but could quite happily 'miss' too.
Coming out in late November isn't helping it either from my perspective with games like Spider-Man and Tomb Raider in September and RDR2 and Assassin's Creed: Odyssey in October - Not exactly 8-10hr games so should see me through until February - which I know will be expensive too...
I'm looking forward to it. The person playing the game here doesn't do it justice though.
I'll wait for the reviews for this one. The developer Gunfire Games is also developing a third person co-op survival-action shooter set on a post-apocalyptic Earth overrun with beings from another dimension game called Remnant: From The Ashes.
Looks Great! Already preordered apocalyspe edition... dont care what games are coming this fall this is one of those at the top of my list.
I've never been interested in this series (in fact, I held off on pre-ordering a game on Steam once because it automatically added Darksiders 1 to your library), but the whole Castlevania-vibe this has going (dat whip) makes it a hot target on my radar! Not something I would buy for $60, but it'll definitely be on my Xmas list!
Looking good so far I might even get it day one depending on the reviews
@BAMozzy I noticed her shadow doesn't meet at her feet and has a very last-gen look about it, which may have something to do with it. I mean, Breath of the Wild had amazing shadows on the WiiU, why can't this game? Still looks fun but it bugs the heck out of me.
@Totaldude911 yeah its things like the Shadows but there is also a something about the lighting too that makes it look as if the character isn't in the world. Its as af she is being lit by a light source but that light isn't impacting on the environment in a 'natural' way. Not in every case but it kind of has that old 'green screen' look where the background seems muted compared to the studio lit characters.
Breath of the Wild does look more like Link is in the world but the Shadows aren't amazing and the game doesn't have 'great' draw distances for certain aspects - you can see a line a few meters in front of link where the quality drops off. Everything inside that looks better - texture, shadows, etc and beyond that, lower quality. Its not uncommon for games though - even Ghost of Tsushima - which looks amazing has better quality shadows within a few meters of the Character and you see the better quality shadows pop in as you move closer. There were two instances that jumped out to me when I watched the demo - when he got off the horse, and when they went up the steps to the temple - that was more obvious because they pause and you can see low quality shadows around the doorway but as they move up, the shadows suddenly improve. Its most obvious when the shadows are on light coloured objects as opposed to dark muddy floors.
Console games rarely have 'great' shadows - as long as there is 'some' shadowing but if you look at them, they are often low res, not real time and/or missing some details. Its much more noticeable though when there are no shadows or shadows that don't behave as expected...
Wow this is... Disappointing. Compared to the first two this game so far literally has no flare- all of her attacks look.. flimsy and weak? I don't know why the the devs didn't make the combat look fun or exciting.
Now if she was super agile I'd forgive the lack of power that the whip gives off but even that, she seems pseudo slow. God I was really looking forward to this game, hopefully I'll be proven wrong with future videos but this just looks generic and bad in my opinion.
I still need to finish Darksiders II, but 3 does look like fun.
