You’ll know E3 2019 is right around the corner when we start using the ‘Leaks’ and ‘Rumours’ article tags with regularity. Case in point: a new Darksiders game has just been "announced". At least we think so, anyway. The title’s going to be part of a panel at Geoff Keighley’s E3 Coliseum, and it will take the franchise in a “different direction”.
Exactly how much we’ll see of the game is up for debate, because the summary on the convention’s website continues: “This is a panel discussion about the art and business of creating and maintaining an action adventure franchise rich in-game and corporate lore.” To be honest, we’ve read that sentence about seven times now and still can’t make sense of it.
Maybe you’ll have better luck in the comments section below?

I wonder if it will borrow heavily from God of War ...
@EddieGreenheart My money's on a third-person shooter.
What exactly is corporate lore?
@Enuo Exactly, with Strife as the last Horseman and him wielding dual pistols, I'm also going for a third-person shooter type game.
Good, I hated the Bloodborne/Dark Souls design of the previous game. That was utterly moronic and not at all what Darksiders is about in my opinion. [Although they did correct their mistake eventually, in some way]. Still, as someone who is not a fan of Dank Souls and Bloodbro', I'm sick of the concept. It already ruined God of War 2018 for me, then Darksiders 3, what's next to ruin ... Yakuza?
Not sure what they mean by "fresh direction" though. Open-world Battle Royale with crafting and npc-romancing?
@ellsworth004 Money.
Corporate speak means nothing, anywhere in the world. It's all cover jargon for "profit going to executives".
@Ichiyama yeah i know all that, corporate lore is just a odd way of putting it
@ellsworth004 Fair enough. Sorry to go all Internet on you.
