It's funny, when I first unboxed for the first time - absolutely hated the way it looks. Has completely grown on me since!

I’ll probably get flak for this but I bought mine off e bay.
However I purchased it weeks before launch from someone who turned out to be a decent enough guy and I paid £100 above RRP.
I was happy to pay the extra as I knew I wouldn’t get one until at least next spring from stores and I’ll be honest it’s been totally worth it.
Funny thing was when I went to pick it up on launch day evening they were selling on e bay for £900 - £1200... and you’re still lucky if you can find one for less than £800.

Do any games actually support the PS5 camera for anything besides broadcasting to social media? Seems like a bit of a waste to not use it for gameplay (or maybe I’m just too old to appreciate it).

Sony really has taken a page out of Apple’s book the way the products are designed and marketed. (Not saying that’s a bad thing)

I have all of this besides the camera! Waiting to hear more about PSVR2 before investing in it

@ScottyG PSVR 2 will not use the camera. Cameras will be mounted on the headset itself to measure the room and show the user what happens around him/her.
The patent has been updated several times so that's pretty much certain. 😉

@Hurblyburbly Nothing wrong with that. I bought mine off of eBay as well, right after they went up for pre-order back in September. Sure, I ended up paying more than retail price, but I still paid a good $200-$300 less than people are now for it on eBay. I'm happy with my purchase as well.

My S.O is not going to like me watching this, oh boy.

Nothing beats the original PS5 one I will never forget that for the rest of my life And FINALLY!!! ShopTo are sending me my Dualsense Charging Station!!! They must have got new stock in i guess because i placed the order the first time they did pre-orders for everything.

Ha! Me too. I bought an extra Dualsense, Pulse Headset and Media Remote and thought I'd just get by with some USB-C charging cables. By the time I changed my mind they were sold out everywhere. Madness, I think this is the first time (certainly in my experience) that accessories have sold out as well as the consoles...

@LP64000 Yup me too, all my furniture is black (Ikea) and I hated the looks of the PS5 initially and thought it would stick out like a sore thumb (especially in my TV unit). Instead it fits in rather well and I've grown to love the design.

Until I can buy one at a store I am blocking out all footage of PS5 from my peripheral.

Lovely. Once I get over the bug fetish and sexy crashes, it might be an even better customer experience.

@markkoo what bugs? I have had a PS5 since launch and only had demon souls crash twice after many hours of playing. Been fixed by the game patch and not had a crash since. Most problems are user error!

EDIT: My TV's remote (Sony X900H in the States) controls the PS5! Sweet!

Nothing wrong with that. Calculate your salary's hourly rate, then look at the time spent trying to get a PS5. I was able to get one at retail for $499, but if you were to take my time spent...I paid over $2,000 for my PS5!

I finally saw one in person, and have revised my critique of the industrial design from “awful, would never want in my home“ to “just make it all black and it’ll be fine”

And actually, seeing it in person also changed my opinion on all-black: Not all black, but dark gray and black. 👌
