The Zombies modes in Call of Duty titles are more important than ever right now, so much so that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War creator Treyarch has been asked to set some time aside to be the sole developer of the undead offering in next month's Call of Duty: Vanguard. Today's trailer reveals what the team has been working on and, well, it looks a lot like previous Zombies modes. Billie Eilish provides the auditory backdrop with a remix of Bury a Friend that likely won't live particularly long in the memory, but at least the undead action looks satisfactory.
We're certainly no Zombies experts here at Push Square, but the footage part of the trailer really does look like more of the same. Maybe that's exactly what the fanbase is looking for, so kudos to them. If you're not already a fan of Call of Duty Zombies modes, however, then this doesn't look like it'll be the iteration to change your mind. Though, we're sure it'll still end up being an absurdly big package that could yet again warrant its own game when all of the post-launch content is released.
Don't forget there'll be the usual single player campaign and vast suite of multiplayer modes to go alongside Zombies. Did you pick up on any big changes for Zombies while watching the trailer? Enlighten us in the comments below.

The best zombies map is the one in the White House from Black Ops. Never did finish that.
Watching this convoluted mess makes me thankful we have more straightforward zombie alternatives like WWZ and now B4B.
Very lazy how there seems to be no actual Zombies maps and it's just the MP Maps converted.
This game looks to be a real bargain bin quality title.
Zombies in Cold War was actually fantastic, but needing 2 PS+ accounts for split screen was an awful decision. Hopefully the old school days of real split screen return someday
Does anybody really enjoy call of duty these days? I honestly believe the best titles were on the 360/ps3 era. It’s plain to see the devs are creatively dead and the passion is gone.
@Amin1998 I enjoy modern warfare but the fact that it's bloated with warzone & black ops assets that aren't optional & with every update they seem to break something really ruins an otherwise solid game
Stopped playing zombies after world at war...those were awesome maps and after that i just could not be arsed with it anymore..
I always think that big billy eilash tune sounds like Tetris.
Hard pass, but I hope those who play still enjoy it.
