Among Us ruled supreme during PS Store’s key Christmas month, with the social sensation dominating both the PlayStation 5 and PS4 sales charts in December. The title did launch at an attractive price point of just £3.29/$3.99, so was in “impulse buy” territory – although it’s worth remembering that the release is available for free on smartphones.
In the US, the PS5 version of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales enjoyed a Christmas bump, while FIFA 22 finished as runner-up in Europe. Online sensation Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach performed well on both sides of the pond, while Kena: Bridge of Spirits enjoyed a significant boost ahead of the holidays.
On the PS4, evergreens like Grand Theft Auto V continued to sell well worldwide, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt enjoyed a slight bump in the aftermath of the television show’s second season – particularly in Europe. PSVR continues to be dominated by the trilogy of Beat Saber, Job Simulator, and SUPERHOT VR, and Fortnite ruled supreme on the free-to-play front.
You can view the PS Store’s top sellers for December 2021 through here, and remember that given the prominence of digital downloads these days, this is probably more representative sales data than the weekly UK charts we post.

I'd love to know what sold best on the Turkish PS Store. It must've seen a lot of business sent there from HUKD!
Amazing to see Spider Man still charting this well after a full year of release. I expect 2022 to be a monster year for Sony and PlayStation fans alike!
@mrtennis1990 looking forward to it. Really tired of all the Switch games dominating the charts, especially because, imho, most of them don't deserve it.
