Stranger of Paradise's Wanderer of the Rift DLC is now available, and it introduces a swathe of new content, most of which revolves around the titular wanderer himself, the interdimensional swordsman known as Gilgamesh.
Along with new story content, enemies, gear, and the Blue Mage job class, Wanderer of the Rift will also introduce the new ultra-hard Gilgamesh difficulty, which is unlocked after beating the Trials of the Dragon. Gilgamesh introduces new mechanics like the Chaos Monsters, a unique enemy that can appear in a mission, which, upon defeating, will reward you with some of the most powerful gear in the game. A newly added Tonberry Blacksmith will appraise this gear for you, making them both adorable and useful.
It's a pretty cool incentive to revisit Stranger of Paradise, or pick this one up if you missed it back when it launched. Will you be diving into Wanderer of the Rift? Let us know in the comments section below.

@Khayl Do they still force you to play thru the DLC on the hardest difficulty available?
@KidBoruto I was wondering that too. I payed for a dlc that I can't play and nowhere in the description says that you cannot play it on casual or easy...
Locking game progression in the hardest difficulty setting is one of the worst design choices I have seen in a modern videogame. It takes you back to the 90's where the true ending was locked behind hard mode or something...
I honestly forgot this game even existed, hard to believe it only came out a few months ago.
I was initially planning on getting but the performance and graphics in the demo were so unbelievably dire they burned my eyes
@KidBoruto I think there is sort of dark mode you can choose when starting the mission, makes you basically invincible infinite power and ability power, a little bit lower gear level drops but you will get through it
Just got the plat for the base game and, to be honest, it was fine but there's nothing there to warrant me paying for DLC for it.
@Uromastryx Do you mean the Dark Knight build? That would immensely help out both myself and @belmont if true.
@KidBoruto no its called like choas form.or something I'm.sorry I can't remember proper been awhile, if you cleared normal story it's form Jack takes on in the last level. You can put that permanently on before you start missions
@Uromastryx Oh gotcha thanks! Tagging @belmont so they know about that trick too.
@KidBoruto @Uromastryx Thanks, I will check it tonight!
@belmont Please do get back to me on if that helps at all.
It's the only roadblock keeping me from finally buying the game + season pass during Black Friday sales this year.
