Well, it's all but confirmed now: Final Fantasy XVI is almost certainly going to be a headline act at The Game Awards next week. The fast-approaching event has confirmed that celebrated director Naoki Yoshida will be a guest host during the show, where he'll present a "very special live presentation".
Rumours of Final Fantasy XVI getting a release date at Geoff Keighley's annual shindig have been doing the rounds for weeks now, and it's fair to assume that it's probably happening. After all, a date announcement would give Square Enix around six months of room for a marketing blitz, with the action RPG currently targeting a summer 2023 window.

FFXVI is the only thing I'm interested in seeing from this show, for now.
Welp I gotta watch the show now. Sleep be damned!
As much as I'd love to see that live I ain't staying up til 1:30am (+how long the show goes), especially since I have to work the next day
That and Death Stranding pt 2.
Should be a decent show
hopefully we'll see some nice surprises.
Looking forward to this game. Will watch the awards to see what else might be unveiled.
Dude, I cannot wait for this one
Wow maybe another fantastic trailer and if the mh rise leak is true, maybe a teaser for that supposed 2nd expansion? Still not worth watching lol, but this might be one of the more memorable shows to look up for news at least
Cool.more final fantasy 16 news is always welcome.word up son
Hopefully we see more gameplay that isn't combat. So far I'm just getting Devil May Cry sorta vibes and that's not why I play Final Fantasy
HYYYYPE!
I'm very excited for this game but still have a few concerns. I'm an old bat so I won't sit here and complain about the lack of turn-based battles (I can sadly accept its dead) but the lack of any exploration, party members, classic management menus, etc. has me slightly worried. We've seen enough story and combat. Let me see traversal and exploration.
Wonder if we are going to get a demo announcement alongside the release date
@solocapers @Korgon @RBMango I'm def hyped between FF16, whatever Kojima game they've been teasing, and maybe we'll see the SpongeBob game be dated here too?
There's also the Wumpa League rumor to consider.
