Anyone that doesn't have Ghost of Tsushima by now should be ashamed.
@Nexozi Do you include non gamers in that group as well?
I wont be buying anything after just pre ordering my VR. Got plenty to be getting on with with Hogwarts, Dead space and Metroid prime until then
@DarkestHour Yes, there's no excuse good enough. 😂
Big discounts, Gotham Knights £45.49/$48.99
Your having a laugh, no?
@Nexozi
Haha. Brilliant.
@J_e_f_f__D
So true. You beat me to it.
At this price I might finally bite on Ghost Of Tsushima! I’m pretty sure it’ll be something I only really play the first few hours of before getting bored, but I’d still love to check it out!
I don't see this prices being lower, than those on any other regular sales.
Just one more additional sale for PS plus subscribers.
This sale is super tempting to me, so many games on my wishlist... must stay strong
@J_e_f_f__D Gotham Knights is £25.99 if you have PS+
@nathanSF See above it's a PS+ double discount sale, it's £25.99 if you have PS+, likely similar in $USD
@mcdreamer that's pretty much what I did but at 20 bucks it's probably worth it. I should say I unlocked the 2nd island and then got distracted by other games and never ended up going back but a lot of fun up to that point.
@J_e_f_f__D yeah at almost 50 that's still overpriced. It's not as horrible as some make it out but it's definitely not a AAA title imo. Base price should be 49.99 at best.
Very close to $50 worth of rewards points on my PlayStation card but if I can't get there while this sale is still going on it might be for the best with PSVR2 right around the corner. Definitely curious about NFS though.
👻 ghost of tsushima is a masterpiece.one of the best games ever made.word up son
Ghost of Tsushima is a must have for me, but it has also been available on PS+ from the start, so this in particular is not for me.
Alan Wake on the other hand, though... I was considering a physical copy just these days ago, but now I'm tempted to just get the digital...
(It's worth noting tha Plague Tale: Requiem, is also for sale!)
@Capirdbara Yeah, that’s a tempting price for Alan Wake. $13 is barely enough to cover an average dinner at a mediocre restaurant. Plague Tale Requiem is also on my wishlist, so good call there too. $42 is still a bit of an investment (a dinner for two at an above average restaurant! 😅) so I might wait, but it’s a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’ for me on that game. Alan Wake on the other hand had such mixed reviews that I’m not sure if it’s worth my time. Decisions, decisions.
@Nexozi I only got my PS5 3 months ago and have been working my way through a lot of PS3/PS4 games I missed out on. I haven't bought Ghost yet but it's on the list. Gotta finish a few other games first.
@LiamCroft I think your Gotham Knights pricing is wrong. Coming up as £25.99 for me here and leading to confusion in comments above.
@themightyant The PS Store is only telling me £45.49: https://store.playstation.com/en-gb/product/EP1018-PPSA07257_00-GOTHAMKNIGHTS000
@LiamCroft Weird showing as £25.99 for me on that link and on PS5. I'm assuming you have PS+ and are logged in?
I've bought Evil Genius 2 and Sifu today. Both for a rainy day when I need some fun. Right now, Hogwarts Legacy occupies my time.
@themightyant I've checked on the console itself and now it's displaying correctly. Not sure why the web version wasn't showing it, but thanks for the heads up
@Nexozi I bought Ghost of Tsushima PS4 version for $30, then bought he Directors cut for $10, on sale from the normal $20, but last I checked they still wanted ANOTHER $10 to upgrade to the PS5 version and Japanese lip synch. So I still haven’t played it yet, but it might be cheaper to sell my disc and buy the PS5 version then upgrade to the PS5 version. 🤑
Maybe I’ll play it some day. My kid finished the base game about a year ago, so I got that at least. If they let me upgrade for free I might play it, but I still need to know what the soon to be released HFW dlc cost first, because no one will tell us.🤷🏻♂️
Midnight Suns might be next for me, 40% off with a sub at the moment.
@mcdreamer I was bored in the beginning but I really like it now after getting to ACT 2 and realizing there's a whole variety in the environments. The whole no sleep in open worlds break immersion for me but I'll just disregard that and appreciate its brilliant combat and fantastic art direction.
@Blacksmith1985 True, it's the same price I got GoT in the January Sale without Plus.
@blockfight Leave them all in the backlog. 😂
@Grimwood 100%!
@rjejr I got it on PS4 as well. Nearly sure I got the Iki Island and PS5 update together though.
Ghost of Tsushima seems pretty attractive to pick-up digitally (already have a physical copy).
@Mauzuri I loved the story though and also found a lot of the side missions stories interesting. Also the combat is a lot of fun. It is indeed one fine looking game!
I highly recommend Ratchet for anyone who hasn’t given it a shot already. Lots of fun.
Alan Wake Remastered don't mind if I do.
This is the third week in a row with a big sale on. Usually they would rotate it every 2 to 3 weeks. It does seem like a few games are discounted that haven't been on sale for a while, so that's good...
@Loamy I was waiting for a sale but I'm sad it has flown under the radar seeing EA barely if at all did marketing for it. Probably because it doesn't have MTX in it.
Is B4B worth it even though the game support has ended its only like $18 plus $11 for annual pass
@Nexozi "Nearly sure I got the Iki Island and PS5 update together though."
Did you have it digital or physical? I have the PS4 disc, the store let me buy the $20 DLC for $10, so I did, and I thought that might give me the PS5 upgrade, but it didn't, and it still only says $10, so I haven't purchased it. Most comments and articles on here made it sound like it wasn't worth $10. thanks tho.
@Mauzuri Get sucked back in to just going around on the horse taking in the scenery. 😂
@rjejr Yes I got the digital version on the PS4. I think that was when there was a lot of uproar about some PS5 upgrades being free and some charging. The controller and graphic improvements are good.
@mcdreamer this happened to me. Please don’t read that wrong: the game is overflowing with quality and it’s extremely good but after a bit, it becomes just another open world game. I got bored with SpiderMan for the same reason.
I’ll get burned at the stake for these comments in here I know but I just wanted to offer that testimonial up…
Still, at that price it’s a steal and well worth whatever time you sink into it. I’ll go back to it myself someday I know.
I got a bunch of notifications at 3AM from the PS App that woke me up. Ended up buying P4AU because it was the last day of that sale. Not even related to the new sale but that’s how it goes
I'm torn. Is ratchet and clank good beyond visuals or is a fairly simplistic game.
Also we all know gotham knights was a last minute liver service changed into a single player letdown, but is it worth it at less than half or is it even worth a play at all?
NFS is tempting as well
@ChromaticDracula I completely share your sentiment on both titles.
Spiderman especially, when i finally dove into the remastered version, i couldnt, and still havent finished it. ITs along the lines of ubisoft level copy and paste side content. The combat also got repetitive. I am still to this day baffled on how this game is so universally applauded. It's just a very overused open world formula. Beyond paying fan service to spiderman, and the web slinging traversal, which also loses its wonder at some point, this game really got boring.
You arent alone in your thoughts!
@KundaliniRising333 yes, it’s good beyond visuals. It makes full use of the DualSense features; it has a good story (cute and a bit juvenile, but still thoroughly enjoyable for adults and big kids). The combat is great. Idk what else to say, but you’ll like it. If you don’t, tell me and I’ll send you a gift basket to say I’m sorry. But also the gift basket will just have a bunch of greasy nuts and bolts in it.
@koverby lmfao you got yourself a deal
Thinking about Midnight Suns - getting into the buy range for me now.
@Nexozi Thanks. Maybe I'll stick my PS4 disc back into my PS5 now that the sale is on and see if anything new shows up. Can't hurt to look. Still not paying $10 though if as a PS+ member I Can buy the entire PS5 complete game for $20. I'd give the disc away at that point, doubt it's worth anything to trade in anywhere. Maybe my library would take it?
@rjejr Do you have something like CEX near u? Here they're offering £10 for the PS4 disk.
@themightyant
Okay, Need to go for a trawl through the reviews, see if it's worth adding to the queue
@nathanSF FWIW I didn't buy it as £25.99 but then I've got a massive backlog of better games. If I was at a loose end I would have done. While it scored pretty badly, enough people here have said while flawed they enjoyed it for me to give it a go eventually.
@Nexozi For the first time in what feels like ages I'm actually finishing games lately. When I bought the PS5 it was actually kinda nice turning on the console and there only being 4 or 5 games on the dashboard. And I've finished 3 of those now.
@Nexozi I'm in the US, New York, and I used to trade my games into Gamestop but the 1 near me closed, and Amazon but they don't have GoT listed. Really too lazy to look anywhere else.
Good timing on the reply. I did put my PS4 GoT disc into my PS5 this morning - system DOES show different info w/ the disc in vs out - and even w/ PS+ it was $10 for the upgrade to the PS5 DC version (that may be the ONLY PS5 version now that I think about it) and $29.99 (maybe $28.99) to buy the PS5 digital version - I already have the PS4 digital upgrade to Directors Cut - so I'm just not doing anything. At least my kid played it, and I will some day. Plan is to start HFW next, and I just pre-ordered Zelda TotK, that's day 1 for sure. Not sure I'll get GoT in between those 2, don't game all that much anymore. And after Zelda Pikmin 4 is day 1, don't think I'll have much time between those 2 either, Zelda BotW was over 150 hours for me, I'm very slow & meticulous. And I die a lot. 😂
@Nexozi I had but not the time to play it but it's really fun.
@themightyant
Hmm, might wait for the next price drop. Meanwhile looking forward to Lightfall and Phantom Liberty. Those and the bunch of little indie waiting to be finished off should fill up most of the rest of the year.
