Following a Trophy guide for a PSVR2 game is always going to be a bit more difficult since you've got a big bit of plastic strapped to your head, but if you are still gunning for Platinum Trophies in VR, then Horizon Call of the Mountain doesn't look to present too much of a challenge. The launch title's Trophy list has appeared on Exophase, and the digital awards seem largely tied to story progress and taking down machines.
The ones that aren't require you to shoot all the Warning Beacons in the game (little targets hidden in the level), find collectibles, and construct cairns at every available opportunity. There are also Legendary Climbs to master and a Trophy for completing a mission without dying. Just whack it on easy and we're sure you'll have no trouble unlocking that one. The full Trophy list can be viewed through the link.
Horizon Call of the Mountain launches alongside PSVR2 this Wednesday, 22nd February 2023. We awarded the game a 7/10 in our PSVR2 review, calling it a great "showcase of PSVR2’s potential". The fun climbing and platforming, impressive visuals, and interactive moments are its best assets.

Certainly faster than Kayak VR, which I’ve been told requires me to row for 300 miles or something, lol.
I want Moss Book II for my first plat.
On that note, if I load my save in the PS5 version of the first Moss game will I get all of the trophies from the PS4 version... Because if yes, that will be my first plat.
Feels cheap.
@Shepherd_Tallon
Doubt it, given it’s a separate SKU and there’s no common save state between them, but stranger things have happened. Really hate auto pop trophies, it happened to me when I wanted to try the PS5 version of NMS.
@thefourfoldroot1 alternatively, if you take your PSVR2 for a 300 drive and play it there in a hotel you get the trophy.
@Shepherd_Tallon I'm not sure if you can transfer your save.
Good to know. Although - I always remember you guys published a guide on how “easy” the Returnal platinum would be and we all know how that that one turned out 😅

Oh Liam 🤦♂️😅
@get2sammyb @thefourfoldroot1 Ah but of course.
Okay good. It's for the best - If the option to do it was there I'm not sure I could resist it. 🙃
@Shepherd_Tallon
Just got the notice that it will “soon be on its way”, but no tracking details or anything else.
@thefourfoldroot1 That makes sense - Mine shipped earlier, but it was a few hours before the tracker updated with anything.
You have nothing to worry about.
Tomorrow or the day after we'll have our headsets 😌
@thefourfoldroot1 Mine came this morning. 🤤
I just took a few minutes away from work to unbox it all.
It looks glorious.
@Shepherd_Tallon
I hate you, lol. seriously, mine still says “Preparing to Ship”.
Happy gaming fella. Let us all know your impressions of whatever games you have when you can drag yourself away!
@thefourfoldroot1 I will!
I won't be able to play Moss or Horizon until midnight, but I see GT7 and RE VIII have started downloading some updates.
I didn't think the VR updates for them would release yet.
I'll see if I can try them after work.
@Shepherd_Tallon
Yes, there is already streaming online for GT7. I’m not a big racing fan and am more excited for Res8. Been avoiding spoilers for years though so will keep avoiding any type of gameplay footage.
@thefourfoldroot1 I'm not a racing fan myself, but I enjoy that game. Driving fast on the speed circuits is pretty much all I'll be doing in that.
As for RE VIII... We'll see how it goes 😂
@Shepherd_Tallon
It was OK. Finished the campaign and got the plat, but was expecting more of a car-p-g, whereas in fact it wasn’t. Plus, it’s a lot more unforgiving when it comes to how much you get slowed down and penalised for clipping grass or hitting an opponent, which I just don’t find that fun. Guess I’m more of an arcade racer guy.
Strange they have removed both Res8 and GT7, the two best VR launch games, from the store now (well, GT7 was never there but Res8 was removed). Can’t believe how bad the store is.
@thefourfoldroot1 Wait, they're not in the store anymore?
Edit: I see GT7, but RE VIII isn't showing up for me.
Odd.
@Shepherd_Tallon
Yep, it’s crazy. Neither of them are in the U.K. store under the PSVR2 section any longer.
@thefourfoldroot1 GT7 is just a different experience now. I don't think I could play it again without the headset. Turning a corner and having the sun move behind me and reflecting off of the dashboard, and then bouncing across your eyes is something I will never take for granted again.
Moving on to RE VIII...
@Shepherd_Tallon
I think you’ll say the same for that man. I can never go back to a flat horror game after Resi7 and enjoy it anywhere near as much outside of VR. It’s just a fundamentally superior experience. Same with platformers too really.
Do you happen to have Kayak or zombieland?
@thefourfoldroot1 No I haven't gotten either of them yet.
Kayak is on my list though. I might save it for a few months from now. I don't want to burn through them all in the first few weeks.
It looks great though. Was watching Rob on Access playing it earlier today.
