It looks like Sony may have just leaked the existence of several unannounced titles coming to PSVR2, specifically, Solaris Offworld Combat 2, Wanderer, Gorn and Project Wingman.
Spotted by UploadVR, the unannounced games were listed on the German PlayStation Blog (which has since been deleted but can still be viewed via the Internet Archive) in the gallery area, with a listing for Solaris Offworld Combat 2 next to a trailer for the original Solaris Offworld Combat. The title also appears in the article's tags, along with Wanderer, GORN, and Project Wingman.
Developer First Contact declined UploadVR's request for comment but later confirmed the sequel is real by posting the following on Twitter.
Both Wanderer and Gorn are available on PSVR, so it makes sense to bring them over to PSVR2, and Project Wingman was previously PC exclusive. But a sequel to the excellent Solaris Offworld Combat is a genuine and welcome surprise.
What do you think of this Sony snafu? Are you excited by the prospect of a Solaris sequel? Remember that loose lips sink ships when discussing secret matters in the comments section below.

No astrobot (I'll shut up now). Anyone know if the psvr2 is getting release day shipping? I've not got a tracking yet (US).
I'm always wondering, if it is too hard to bring VR games into non-VR state? There are several games (at all) that I like to play, but buying VR set because of 2-3 games doesn't seem like good investment...
@djlard
Well, there is now a VR injector on PC that got Hogwarts running in VR in 1-2 days. Obviously this didn’t include one to one hand tracking or anything, but not all games need it.
Not sure what you are talking about when you say 2-3 games though. There are a ridiculous number coming to PSVR2 just at launch. As far as I’m concerned it’s already justified it’s investment day 1, but clearly many more games are to come.
I’m not so bothered about Solariis, but Wanderer is a fantastic title and Wingman is inspired by Ace combat, and looks great.
Just a note that the trailers for these games are last gen trailers, not PSVR2.
@Sequel no release day shipping in the US (intense sobbing sounds)
@djlard it's not that hard in a technical way, because lots of games are made with Unity / UE and it's just the matter of new control schemes. But VR games are slightly different in terms of user experience and playing them with mouse / keyboard might be a disaster or pure boredom.
@NEStalgia Intense sobbing sounds amplified..
My psvr2 arrived today....which is what I'll hopefully be saying on the 22nd 😁
Project Wingman looks great on steam, definitely getting that day one. VR and flight sims are made for each other.
Wanderer seems like a must-have for me! The rest I'm not too sure about. Checked my order status just now and it was "Reserved (in stock)" so I expect to have the headset in time for the software unlocks on the 22nd. Can't wait! (purchased GT7 yesterday, so that should be ready to go when the headset arrives)
@JP80 lucky you, living somewhere where preordering is possible 🙄... I'll have to wait and see how I can put my hands (and head) on it...
@djlard Honestly I think you'd be better off
1. buying a headset at some point
2. buy mostly physical games when you can and play what you want, and then
3. sell it all again for a good price with the games when you've had your share. My kindly-used PSVR with some games sold very quickly!
Making a flat version out of VR would be taking a lot of the fun out of them, especially something like Walking Dead S&S.
@thefourfoldroot1 Where can one find this mod?
@Palleon
Not sure as I’m not a PC guy, but I’m sure someone else here could help.
Wow, Gorn is great news. It looks super fun and I never tried it!
Half life Alyx should be ported to PSVR2. An amazing game I played on my Rift s
@Tomato_Goose I've had one of first VR borrowed back in DOS era and it was fun to play DOOM or Duke Nukem 3D in VR. But not any major difference in entertainment playing VR or nonVR.
@thefourfoldroot1 Sorry, but even trailers looks like PS2 or PS3 games... But there are some picks that are worth conversion into non-VR, but still not worth buying gadget for price tag of small car.
@djlard
You are probably looking at the Quest ports rather than native PSVR2 games. Tell me Call of the Mountain, GT7, or Resident Evil Village don’t look as good as a the native PS5 flat screen game and I’ll call you a liar.
There will be lots of quest ports as it’s the largest selling headset but has (dogshit) mobile chips. Ports are easy, many are upgraded, some won’t be, none will be native PSVR2 level but good to have them.
Come on people, it only takes a little bit of research to not look silly, lol.
Thank you for game
I'm happy to hear about Gorn as I enjoy it and would like to see it on PSVR2, as I don't think I would touch it again on the original.
@thefourfoldroot1 To be fair, there's only a few games that are NOT Quest ports at this point. It's hard to tell how enhanced they will or won't be though because in most cases the pictures on the PS Store are just pictures from the PS4/PSVR1 or native Quest versions, and not PS5 versions as far as I can tell, and the pages are still the PS4/VR1 pages. Most of the pages on the PS Store have screens that make most of the games look really really bad, but those same pages say they require Move controllers.....
@djlard Remember that even the "bad" stuff does look very different with actual depth. For the same reason that in 2.5D, 3DS, with the 3D slider all the way up made a lot of games look really decent, and if you turn the 3D off, they ALL LOOKED HIDEOUS!
None of these excites me. Only game i want to play is not available on PS5 (HL Alyx).
@NEStalgia
Yes, as we all know, Sonys marketing is awful. Which is why I listen more to third parties actually playing the games. The PS Store is truly a travesty. As you say though, and anyone who has honestly played in VR will know this, trying to get a sense of a VR game’s art style by looking at a 2D image is pointless anyway.
@thefourfoldroot1 But hey, they had a themed restaurant for 3 days in Paris, how can you say their marketing is awful?
I think it's easier to tell what a game looks like from 2D images if you HAVE played VR, IMO, or even 3DS, since your mind can kind of extrapolate what it really looks like. For anyone that hasn't played it, though, you have really no sense of what depth added would look like.
The problem on the PS store is what they show you is probably the PSVR1 base PS4 hideous version of the games that really did look hideous in VR. IDK why they have not updated the store for VR2 games that are known to be coming. Almost everything just points to the PSVR1/PS4 product page. I know it's a preorder, but even preorders have current captures normally.
I think the fact that searching for no man's sky does not find no mans sky kind of tells you everything you need to know about how they treat their poor store. Not exactly a minor game. I'm surprised you can find returnal on there and it doesn't just show you return to wolfenstein instead.
@thefourfoldroot1 I don't look at Quest videos, whole time I'm talking about PSVR2 trailers. Yes graphics seems way better than PSVR1, but still looks like unfinished...
@djlard
I’m saying you are looking at PSVR2 videos of Quest port, which of course are going to look relatively poor. Look at Resi 8, GT7, Horizon CotM, then tell me they look any worse than PS5 equivalents.
Oh ****! Project Wingman. PSVR2 is going to become my main gaming platform. Unbelievable line up of games and we don’t know about the majority in development. Insane!
5 DAYS TO GO!!!
@thefourfoldroot1 I'm saying I'm looking at PS trailers, not Quest trailers. BTW I'm not interested of those you mentioned, rather Dark Pictures VR and that game with mouse (Mouse quest or what...)
@djlard
I think you are a bit confused just because you missed the word “port” in my comment. You are looking at Quest ports, not native PSVR2 games.
Think of those ps2 games emulated to play on PS4 / PS5 and just up-resed. You are doing the equivalent of judging the PS5 by watching a trailer for Rogue Galaxy or Ape Escape 2, which I think we can all agree would be silly.
@thefourfoldroot1 seems you don't understand english... nevermind
by the way Rogue Galaxy is one of the most beautiful ps2 games.
@djlard
Sure, avoid the issue and insult. That convinced people, lol.
It’s quite simple, quest ports can’t be used to judge PSVR2 capability. I can’t make it any more clear for you than that.
@thefourfoldroot1 And I'm telling you (and spelling you) that
I-A-M-N-O-T-W-A-T-C-H-I-N-G-Q-U-E-S-T-P-O-R-T-S-I-A-M-L-O-O-K-I-N-G-A-T-P-S-V-R-T-W-O-G-A-M-E-S
@djlard
Sure. Would you tell me which PSVR2 games you are looking at that, as you say, look like PS2 and PS3 games? I must have missed them. You know, the ones that aren’t on other lower powered systems and then ported to PSVR2.
@thefourfoldroot1 ok. those I'm interested in are mostly from PSVR1, yes, those two RE:V and Horizon looks good (I don't care them), but rest is pretty low-res. If you don't see it, than it is not my fault. GT7 is excluded because it IS also 2D.
@djlard
So, to clarify then, you are looking at games from last gen machines and mobile headsets, and saying they look old gen? No ***** Sherlock! Lol.
You then say that the PSVR2 exclusive games do look good (although excluding another game that looks great because you can also play it outside of VR - which is a strange restriction).
OK, glad we got to the bottom of that. Thank you. I guess PSVR2 games don’t look like PS2 games then - who would have thought it!?
@thefourfoldroot1 Finally... Some PSVR2 games looks good, but I have no interrest into them. Most PSVR1 or PSVR2 games looks like PS2 or PS3 games, and I have interrest in about 2 or 3 of them (Moss, Dark Pictures 5 and maybe Beat Saber or that drum set "guitar hero" eventually that synth game).
And whole this was about that it doesn't seem to me like good investment, because of a few games, which could easily be ported into 2D.
@djlard
“Easily ported into 2D”? To me that means “Easily made much much worse by taking away all depth, scale, and immersion for the sake of some higher quality textures and better motion clarity” No thanks.
In the future kids will be as amazed we old folks played on a little flat depthless screen. Try to make them use one and they’ll laugh at us and ask why they can’t just go into the game.
@thefourfoldroot1 ...and that is why they are re-releasing old games...
