CD Projekt RED has today deployed update 1.63 for Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5, focusing on fixes for quests and tweaking various gameplay aspects. Of course, the patch comes a few months before the Phantom Liberty expansion releases, so it's welcome to see the base game receive further fixes before the DLC's overhaul arrives. Below you will find the full patch notes for Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.63.

Wondering how big the total install size for this game now is on PS5
@Loamy appreciate it. A bonus its quite smaller than what I was expecting. Thought it be closer to 70 or 80GB given all the updates
It really sucks that they still haven't fixed the broken audio for some of the guns like the Nue and the revolver on console. The guns will either have their echo just cut short making them sound like you're always in a building.
Nor added any accessibility controls for left handed users. Not a good look in 2023 that such basic accessibility still gets ignored.
@Beerheadgamer82 Most of the updates have been replacing files rather then adding them so the size has stayed mostly the same.
No third person mode
@tomassi Why would you want to be less immersed in a game?
@Triumph741 The repetitive NPC dialogue and general AI destroys any real immersion for me. A third person mode would be like a fart in a hurricane in that respect.
@Poisonedpillsuk It would still be less immersive. Better fix the ai than include tpm
@Triumph741 errr, because I do? Not a fan of FPS games, sorry.
@tomassi You were never going to get a 3rd person mode. Unless maybe you find someone who has made a mod on PC big maybe though.
@tomassi Its never getting a 3rd person mode, the game has been scaled for a 1st person view hence why 3rd person mods look terrible. It would require a ton of work and wouldn't be worth it for how little would use it.
can y’all put a skip scene option on console? Or at least a way to respec attributes (cool, reflex, strength, etc…not just the perks) I hate that i have to sit through the long prologue every time I wanna make a new build :/
@Triumph741 I actually find first-person less immersive. It feels like you're a camera with a gun underneath it, flying around at head height. As you walk around in real life, you can see your arms, not just your hand stuck next to your right cheek. The third-person view gives you a sense of having a body; seeing the hair blowing in the wind or getting wet, seeing the feet slipping on muddy ground as the boots get covered in mud, seeing them get out of breath after sprinting (e.g. BotW). You feel different IRL based on what clothes you're wearing - imagine wearing a high vis vest and helmet compared to a tuxedo and top hat. That's represented in third- but not first-person.
It ties me into the character that represents me, physically, rather than, as I said, feeling like I'm a hovering camera unaffected by the world around me.
I always play at least a third of this game in third person. Riding everywhere on the Kusanagi. Love that bike.
@Matroska Lol what?
Over 2 years and the base game still getting fixes and updates. I'll wait till 2026 before I consider liberty.
No fix for the broken HDR. Sigh.
Is the PS5 getting a native re-released disc version anytime?
Game is in a great state now, PS5 version is esp good and even the version I have on Series S is running at a nice 60fps. Looking forward to the DLC and hope that the move to Unreal engine 5 will give them far less issues for Witcher 4 and the next Cyberpunk game.
For anyone who hasn't played the game at all or in a while and is interested in more than just sideling criticisms this is the perfect time to grab the game and dlc on sale.
@tomassi Natively it isn't ever gonna happen. Same as Witcher 3 no first person mode.
There is a PC mod for third person but it isn't that great which says quite a bit for all the statements they originally said why it's first person only.
It does suck for those that cannot handle first person physically without getting sick, but it is what it is not every game is for everyone.
I have seen other sites mention that this is the big update before the DLC, but I thought they planned to do a 1.7 update that would fix the police, etc in the base game and then the DLC would come out right after taking advantage of all those changes. I guess I am trying to figure out if the base game will get all the rumored/confirmed fixes regardless of the DLC because this update is clearly not all we have heard about.
Can we delete the PS4 version yet?
Or will it try to reinstall everytime the disc goes in.
I've heard people say Sony's working on this or fixed it...
This is not the big update for vanilla game that they talked about right? The one changing aspects of the game I mean.
I think it's about time I picked this up...
Great to see they're still actively patching, though it makes sense with the DLC about to drop in a few months.
@kuu_nousee I usually struggle with first person games but with this one, in 60fps mode and with the camera rotation speed slowed down, all ok.
I installed it today and I was surprised when I saw size , that's plus but what was promised/ anounced is now visible as a Flaw after open world of HZD , HFW , and Spiderman is busy enough to play without feeling that something is missing or that it's empty. It would be great to have option to have more interaction in Cyberpunk it's missing Interiors and free roam NPC's otherwise it's OK game with style that is covering all a lacks of " Verse " I recommend it to everybody just like it's some classic that is Authentic enough to be called Classic
