The fun Barbie vs. Oppenheimer feud comes to a head on Friday as both movies hit the big screen on the same day, and now Final Fantasy XVI voice actors are getting in on the act. Ben Starr, who voices protagonist Clive in the game, began by showing his support for Barbie, asking for a ticket in a Twitter video. Benedicta voice actor Nina Yndis has responded by saying she'll be catching Christopher Nolan flick Oppenheimer.
Using his voice for Clive, the request made by Ben Starr can be viewed below:
And here's Benedicta demanding she sees Oppenheimer, voiced by Nina Yndis:
Both films hit the cinema this coming Friday, but which one will you be seeing? Are you joining Clive in a Barbie viewing or is sitting next to Benedicta for Oppenheimer more for your thing? Decide in the comments below.

How about... if you like both films, then go and watch both films?
@KaijuKaiser James Arnold Taylor.
Anytime I get hear more Benedicta Harman I'm game! She shaping up to me one of Mt fav characters from the game just behind Clive. Also I would pick Oppenheimer too 😊
Meanwhile Nolan has expressed happiness there's two big films being released and hopefully getting people going to the cinema. I myself plan on watching both back to back.
I now just have the image of Clive and Gav going to a screening of Barbie 😂

Strange debate to have here - as male adult I have no interest in watching a “barbie movie”, but I’m sure the kids will love it.
As an adult male I am very excited to see the Barbie movie.
I do also want to see Oppenheimer, but I'm more excited to see Barbie.
No interest in going to see either of these films...! I had them down as "watch once they land on streaming" kind of films. Am I missing out?!
I'd watch oopenheimer but never will I be in the same building as someone watching barbie
Nice try Hollywood with the fake feud but you are still falling apart day by day; brick by brick.
One ticket for PlayStation Showcase Part 2... please
@Beeeee-AHH-eer the big reveal is still Spiderman 2. Maybe another trailer for Gran Turismo. This time with NFL players! enjoy!
To be fair... not watching either.
@Cutmastavictory I wasn't either until I found out Ryan Gosling was in the movie, now I HAVE to watch it

@Palleon
Why is this debate any stranger than most of the other ones that happen in the comment sections on this website?
I personally will not be going to see any movies or watching much streaming until after the writer's/actors' strike is settled. Every industry that gets paid a fair wage for work means every other industry has a new precedent to fight for its fair wage.
Neitheimerbie 🤷🏼
@KaijuKaiser have you listened to the trophy room podcast. They did an interview with Ben Starr.
I actually thought going into it, that he was going to fake it like most actors do.
And then. Jesus so shocked he's like Henry Cavill.
Absolutely 110% knows every single detail there is and what his favourite parts of every final fantasy game are.
Absolute must listen. He's a true gamer and very knowledgeable about the gaming news topics
There's only one reason that I'd watch Barbie and she's an Aussie.

@Palleon The trailers have made very clear the Barbie film is not made for young children. It’s PG-13 in the US and 12A in the UK. Congratulations on being a male adult, though, I guess.
@Palleon the barbie movie is not necessarily for kids. It’s rated PG13 in america
@Cashews They are? 🤔 I thought people were just getting tired of superhero movies which is understandable with like 30 of them releasing every 5 minutes (may have exaggerated a bit)
@Rhaoulos I haven't seen much in the way of articles about FFXVI. Then again when things come around that I'm interested in I tend not to look at every bit of info, enhances the experience if you don't go online. Death Stranding was a phenomenal experience for me, I don't speak for everyone but I enjoyed it a lot. Same with FFXVI, close to 80 hours played and still plenty to do. Story is excellent and gameplay loop is lots of fun, chaining combos together with different Eikon abilities is a blast, discovering new things all the time.
I’m seeing both and can’t wait. Seeing Oppenheimer first to become fully depressed at humanity. Then Barbie at night to turn my mind off and just have silly fun.
@Juanalf There are only two movies this entire year which have performed admirably: Mario Bros and Spiderman cartoon.
The entire movie industry is going to get another shake-up in the 1-5 years. If the strike persists - by early 2024.
For the love of Pete Disney's CEO has hinted at selling Disney. Literally selling the company.
I’m definitely in camp Oppenheimer. Nothing against Barbie, just have no nostalgic connection whatsoever. Haven’t seen Lego Ninjago yet for the same reason despite loving Lego. In fact, I can’t say I understand this rivalry at all. How did this happen? 😂
@fromjtov my apologies, I work full time and admit I don’t rush home and put on a trailer for a movie called Barbie.
But thanks for the highly patronising reply.
I guess.
@MikeOrator ok yes you make a valid and fair point 😂
One ticket to Sound of Freedom please
Anyone else noticed that both the Horizon lead character and the final fantasy lead character do this really annoying breathy voice style.
Both games are great, but that breathy voice style is distracting..
Definitely going to go see Oppenheimer. It just looks great.
Not sure where people are getting the idea this is a feud from, even a fake one: everything I’ve seen has been pushing the two as a double feature, with plenty of people publicly saying they were getting tickets to both and watching them back-to-back. Certainly nothing about pitting one against another.
@LifeGirl so smart! wonder why no one thought of that! oh, wait they did! but not everyone is interested in both movies?
Hahah It’s an amusing coincidence and both movies are benefiting from it.
Also movies from Cannes Festival are steadily releasing across Europe this month so let’s cleanse our palette with red wine after enjoying this Coca-Cola.
@Palleon My intent wasn’t to patronize. Rather, it was to contest your assertion that an adult male would have no reason to be interested in the film. You’re not obligated to check out the trailers, but that also means any assumptions made have a probability of being incorrect. That’s all.
Quite a low probability though.
My assumptions on a care bear or my little pony movie also have a probability of being incorrect too - and yet I also won’t be rushing out to sit in a dark cinema and watch those with mates after the pub either
