RPG fans will be eating good early next year, as Persona 3 Reload just got a confirmed release date. The remake will launch on the 2nd February, 2024 — just a day after the long-awaited Granblue Fantasy: Relink hits. That's a deadly combination already, but then you realise that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be in the mix somewhere around there as well. The Square Enix sequel currently has an 'early 2024' window attached to it.
Oh, and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is 'early 2024' as well, but you'd at least hope that SEGA isn't daft enough to publish two of its heavy hitters within a few weeks of each other. Right, SEGA? SEGA? SEGA, are you listening?!
Anyway, future fears aside, Reload's new trailer is out best look at the title yet. It shows off loads of gameplay across cutscenes, dialogue, and battles. It's all very promising, although we are hoping that various mechanics — which may seem a bit tedious by today's standards — are brought up to speed.
How are you feeling about Persona 3 Reload? Think about which early 2024 RPGs you'll be forced to sacrifice in the comments section below.

That trailer looks amazing, can't wait
Just a shame that Granblue Fantasy: Relink has to wait
It's Granblue Fantasy Relink still for me, if FF7 ReBirth comes out that month as well then it's going to be a hard choice.
@UltimateOtaku91, Same Here, Granblue will be my game to play, though I'll still buy both for the collection.
I've had my fill of Persona after over 200 hours spent on P5.
SEGA and Atlus largely operate as seperate entities so i wouldn't be surprised to see Like a Dragon drop at a similar time 😅
I reckon Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will arrive in mid-March tbh, just before the financials have to be published
Granblue will be day one, I've played P3 before so the remake can wait even if it does look rad.
I'm getting all three I have this weird feeling ff7 coming in January seeing the original come out in January in jp in 97.
I would love that actually. Would take me back to 2017.
Nier: Automata, Horizon Zero Dawn & Zelda BOTW all in a week.
The fanboy wars were glorious.
Also the games were pretty good too.
Infinite Wealth will be April. And even if GTA 6 came out i'd still be playing this game on lauch day!
2023 has been one of the best years for games in my lifetime, but 2024 is shaping up to be pretty good as well.
So, Starfield in September, P5 Tactica in November, and P3R in February. GamePass is looking pretty good this next half a year.
@Fight_Teza_Fight 2017 was legendary.
Considering my birthday is February 3rd, I've got an epic birthday weekend to look forward to. Can't wait!
@Ralizah Persona 5 was April 2017 as well. Insanity. GOAT year.
@Fight_Teza_Fight And Cuphead. And Gravity Rush 2. And Danganronpa V3. And Super Mario Odyssey. And Resident Evil 7. And Yakuza 0. And so many more.
I literally spent the next few years mostly playing catch-up lol.
Not quite 1998, but very much a top three year for me in terms of overall releases.
@LookingCoolJoker seems every jrpg players birthday is in February in 2024! I think I'm going to hold off on getting Persona 3 for a while as I bet there will be "Royal" type edition later. I really hope the next FF7 and like a dragon instalments comes January and April respectively.
@Bingo-Bongo you reckon?
I think cos it's a re-release anyways that's gonna be it but I dunno
Whoever wins, wallet loses.
The music always brings back fond memories of my first time playing these games. Can't wait for this. But for now my schedule is insane with BG3, and soon AC6 and starfield.
@Bingo-Bongo Yeah, I need Like A Dragon and FF7 to be spaced out a bit. Maybe one in early January and the other in late March/April. Relink and Persona 3 coming out back to back is going to destroy my free time for a while.
I'm interested where Sega puts LaD actually considering they also have Metaphor coming next year too.
@LordAinsley Hey I'm glad to be proven wrong sometimes just very cynical at this point.
There also seems to be a special physical "Aegis edition" but no sign of a price yet. And who knows if it will make its way to Europe.
I swear Atlus is the only development studio that makes me excited to see the menus in their games. Looks great! Can't wait!
Yoooo this looks SUPER NICE! And the new cast pretty much just about seem to nail the voices. Junpei and Mitsuru especially!
@Czar_Khastik or even Australia
N.i.c.e. persona 3 reload trailer looks really good.word up son
It likely will be. But i don't care. I am getting both.
Though i confess. This just makes me want a Persona 6 more. I already know how this one goes. It's missing the excitement of not knowing what is next.
Why the need to shoehorn another game that has nothing to do with this one?
Given this is just a pretty, butchered ver. of a game you can already play complete on playstation and sega wants to alienate their biggest fanbase only showing the xbox logo in main trailers I will take Granblue Fantasy: Relink thanks, this can wait for a sale or some.
@GymratAmarillo That's my thinking as well, but if I do get P3R it will be rented or bought second hand. Sega won't recieve another penny from me.
I think this game might be a pass for me. I love P3 but the fact it's based off the vanilla version AND $70... I think it's a no thanks.
The graphics look slick, but I think the slicker Persona's graphics become the more apparent how dated the animations are, which are only sort of covered up by portraits during conversations.
I'll also echo other people, I just want a Persona 6 at this point. Tactica is also not getting me super excited. Or, actually, I'll wait for their other fantasy game, whose name has escaped me.
Played it on PS2 and PSP. I will play it again! I'd rather on PS5 but if the Xbox version is play anywhere then that's a PC version as well.
As great as these game releases are, my wallet is not going to be happy. Better save up this early now (Armored Core 6 is the only remaining game this year I'm willing to get day 1 anyway)
