Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance was previously locked in for release on the 21st June, but for whatever reason, it's now launching one week earlier, on the 14th June. Atlus has confirmed the new date via its social media accounts, and states that any current pre-orders should now be fulfilled on the updated schedule.
It's always quite nice when a game actually gets brought forward, isn't it?
In terms of other games releasing around the same time, it's worth noting that SMT 5 now shares the same launch date as Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2. It's a big day for PlayStation ports!
It does mean, however, that SMT 5 avoids a clash with Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, which is still set for the 21st June. Let's face it, that's probably a good thing.

Cool still another Rise of the Ronin/Dragons Dogma 2 situation for me tho. 2 switch games I've been wanting to get ported now on the same day. Hope I'm able to afford them both to show support
Yeah, it's for the best. SMT is tiny compared to a a behemoth like Elden Ring.
That's cool. Even having spent a good deal of money on the Switch version (Special Edition + digital), I'm still grabbing this day one. One week closer works for me.
@Deoxyr1bose Nobody discussed the game at release either though because it wasn't good. Hoping this one feels less rushed and runs better.
Some people said that 2023 was a strong year for gaming, but I find that first half of 2024 is even better. So many great games in perspective, my backlog is exploding!
Pog it's out a week earlier means I won't need to rush it in time for Trails to Daybreak.

Is the MH stories 1&2 bundle going to be released physically for PS in the Uk? I’ve only ever seen the Switch physical version of it.
It’s my birthday of June and so far going to be for SMTV Vengeance didn’t get round to playing much of it on the switch and Stellar Blade.

@Edwirichuu lol I couldn't even get both like I wanted anyway but nah. Dd2s the type of game you play regardless of the fps issues. And team ninja hasn't let me down yet. Not even with strangers of paradise. I'm sure rise of the ronin would be worth it rignt now even if by the time I do actually get it it'll be like 30 bucks
