Developer Arrowhead Game Studios has officially honoured the brave sacrifice and noble fallen of Malevelon Creek. The pivotal battle against the Automatons marked the community's first significant loss, which was recently avenged as a part of the ongoing Operation Swift Disassembly. To celebrate, 1st April will henceforth be known as Malevelon Creek Memorial Day, which should be spent in pensive reflection while simultaneously mainlining Helldivers 2.
Super Earth issued a proclamation, which reads: "By Presidential Decree, the President of Super Earth has officially recognized this day as Malevelon Creek Memorial Day. This week, in remembrance, all Helldivers will be issued a special commemorative cape, so they may carry the memory of their fallen companions into battle." The cape in question is called Fallen Hero's Vengeance, the description for which reads: "Our heroic fallen live on in this cape, guiding its bearer's aim to the heart of those who killed them." Powerful stuff.
In other Helldivers news, the Automatons have recently deployed heavy walkers and armoured gunships, which are proving quite difficult to counter, alongside a big balancing patch, which increased the level cap and added additional weather hazards.
Will you honour the fallen proudly by wearing the Malevelon Creek Memorial commemorative cape? Those of you who were there, regale us with stories of that nightmarish world in the comments section below.

For democracy...
We couldn't get a stable game running last night at all. Such a bummer. Needed to serve a big dollop of democracy
@Monstermash40 same here. We had 2 party members keep getting kicked on a regular basis. Its frustrating to say the least.
@Kidfunkadelic83 hopefully it's sorted for tonight's onslaught. We normally stick to termanids but with all this propaganda with the Automatons we wanted to get stuck in with them.
I was on it last night kept disconnecting at the very end of bloody matches so annoying when you’ve completed bare optional stuff and collected nearly 40 samples
The new cape looks so sharp with my Champion of the People armor. It's the first cape that got me to switch from my Will of the People cape since launch.
As other commenters are saying, the game lost some stability with the most recent patch. There are way too many crashes and dropped games right now.
