With all God-fearing servants of the Emperor of Mankind counting down the days until Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 storms onto PS5, we've been further blessed with a post-launch content roadmap reveal, which promises additional Operation maps, harder difficulties, a Horde Mode, as well as all-new xenos abominations to vanquish, in digestible season format.
Launching on September 9th, it's worth noting that while a Season Pass is available, it's purely for cosmetic unlocks. All meaningful gameplay additions to the game will arrive as free updates. Season 1 will focus on responding to community feedback and issuing necessary patches.
Season 2 will kick off in October and is expected to run through the end of 2024. Developer Saber has promised a new Operations map (for cooperative play), a new enemy type, a harder difficulty level, new weapons, and other improvements and additions. Seasons 3 and 4 will arrive in 2025 and will add to the game's longevity with even more additions, including a Horde Mode, which is always a welcome addition. All in all sounds pretty good. They’ve got a really solid foundation if the campaign delivers and they can do whatever they want with this title as it lends itself well to a variety of modes. Monetising cosmetics rather than the mode updates is also the way to go because 40k fans are definitely the type to spend on factional skins etc.

Please do not put in a timer for the battle pass.
God I want this but I have too much to finish first and with daylight hours quickly diminishing I have to get out to the golf course as much as possible. I loved the first game and I wish my ancient gaming rig was still working because I'd be playing it again to get me ready for the sequel. For the emperor..

Sounds like I’ll wait for a few of the new modes to be added before purchasing.
Probably means a few patches will be added and a discount.
I have the Collector's Edition pre-ordered and cannot wait! Loved the first game, and Horde mode in Gears of War is my go to with friends. Very happy to see it's inclusion...
@Northern_munkey same here. All i seem to have time for lately in a 9 hole pitch and put after work on the odd occasion.
I will get this if it has a decent single player or a decent co op campaign. Wont be day 1 tho. Too much to be getting on with.
