Developer Round 8 Studios has confirmed that Lies of P will join the growing list of PS5 Pro-enhanced games, although the exact specifications remain to be seen. Presumably, it will be similar to the ones enjoyed by other upgraded games, if not quite to the level of something like Sony's own God of War: Ragnarok.
Of course, the technical enhancements will be appreciated. Lies of P already runs at 60fps in Performance, but the resolution looks a little muddy in this mode. With a little bit of luck, the DLC teased late last year won't be too far off now, and we will have another reason to play through what is very likely the best Soulslike not developed by FromSoftware.
Did you play through Lies of P? Would you be up for another run, enhanced by the power of PS5 Pro? Let us know in the comments section below.

For anyone who skipped this like myself, the base game is currently on sale for £29.99 on the UK store until November 1st.
I'll probably start my first playthrough after finishing Dragon Age.
Digital foundry is gonna be so bust hopefully they got a review unit and don't get blindsided by day one updates to games they already cover in the meanwhile 😬 😅
@Medic_alert this game is awesome and was not too difficult to be honest..bloodborne was a hell of a lot harder. Give it a go.
60 fps check...somewhat muddy visuals? Either set your tv up properly or get your porky pies checked. Obviously a bit of a softer image if that's what you meant but muddy? Sharp as a razor on my TV.
A real gem of a game (thought they easily rivalled some FS games with this one), and already one of the best performance modes technically of a 3rd party game in recent years.
As well as improved image, would like to see the Pro include uncapped framerate in 120hz (using VRR).
Id just started this, but hey i can wait three weeks
@Medic_alert
Yeah loved Bloodborne, but needed a guide with Dark/ Demons Souls. Couldn't finish Sekiro. Still love these games and would love to try this one if it doesn't require a guide to help you out if you're stuck too often
Extra visual whizz-bang won't do much for the absolutely dour game world, some miserable level design (that church tower ascent, ugh), bland visuals, and janky gameplay.
Great, this is on my to-get-to list, so happy to eventually play it on Pro once I get mine.
Brilliant, glad I waited, heard too many good things about this to miss out, could be ideal for spooky season although that will be over by time the Pro arrives!!
@McTwist
Its no where near as 'finickety' as other similar titles, although its still a good idea to make sure you search everywhere & do all 'requests' asap as they can become unavailable with progress, but thats fairly normal with this genre.
There is a trick with the 'Lies' playthrough (which should really be 'human' or 'compassion' playthrough) for the best ending. NB a lot of the guides are actually incorrect on 1 or more of the choices.
Save before each conversation (I cant remember if cloud back up is needed) and you will get a message about feeling or your heart if you have picked correctly. Also listen to all records when you get them.
@Intr1n5ic only ones I liked were BB and sekiro and they were “from” the souls developer. When you’re fed up with the formula that’s that and everyone now is beyond late to the game. I can be bent thematically though, and sometimes it feels like that’s the only difference and P is defo the one that struck me as stylin’ will likely succumb at some point
Lies of P only trails behind Bloodborne as my favorite Soulslike/Soulsborne game. What a fantastic experience! I really hope the PS5 Pro enhanced version is more than just a native 4K at 60fps bump (RTX please?), but honestly, I'll happily hop back in, regardless. I played the vanilla version in performance mode and like @Northern_munkey says, there's nothing muddy about it. Even the PS4 version looks great and runs at a silky smooth 60fps on PS5.
@SystemAddict Pretty much the same boat. I was burnt out on the formula so I passed on it at release, but I've admired the theme and art style since I first saw it.
Muddy visuals? The image quality is superb even in performance mode. I guess a clean 1800p image is mud nowadays. You guys really need to stop. There isn't a single detail of what the enhancements even are ffs.
The best thing about this is that the game was incredibly well oiled from day one. This studio is incredible, so whatever had to be done to optimize it for the pro was likely minimal. I may not be on PlayStation anymore but this studio knows what’s up, bring on the dlc!
