There Is a God! Legacy of Kain PS5 Pre-Orders Are Exceeding Expectations

I haven’t pre-ordered but I do intend on picking them up. Been wanting to play them for a good few years, so I’m pretty excited.

I know 3rd party games on PS classics generally don't get trophies, but man I hope blood omen 1 & 2 do.

Hopefully this is a sign that we will get more entries, or maybe they put the polish on and release Dead Sun, i think that game was very close to completion

At the end of the day they are just remasters so why the excitement.

I'm missing the option I'm getting it when it gets a physical release.

Played the series on the Dreamcast. No need to revisit this paradoxical, “to be continued” BS.

Man....I hope they don't lock Blood Omen behind the stupid Premium wall again. That would be the height of stupid. Got my Soul Reavers paid for and waiting!

I can't wait to experience these games. I barley remember playing Soul Reaver because I was so young at the time lol

I played all of the games 1st time at launch except the original blood omen, so looking forwards to this.
(Havent pre ordered, as I dont anymore (except Sony 1st party), in case of performance issues, but I dont see it being a problem here.)

I just wish they would finish the story.....A 21 year cliffhanger is taking the ####!

I’ve pre-ordered the games, yeah. I don’t usually do that, not even for Sony 1st party titles and most triple AAA releases (the most recent exception would be FF7 Rebirth). But I really do love all the Legacy of Kain games! My old man heart is so happy knowing I’ll play them again 🥲

So glad this is getting well-received. Hopefully this sends a message that people want more of this series!

@Xbox_Dashboard If you have a laptop or any machine that runs Windows that's at least like...oh...20 years old...you can get the original game from GOG.com for $7 (and it goes on sale fairly often, too).

Just an option if Sony does lock it behind a Premium paywall.

@GamingFan4Lyf it's more for fans than myself. I gave up on Sony actually caring about it's legacy and found an old back compat PS3 for my nostalgia needs. But I appreciate the look out!

@Xbox_Dashboard I still have a 60GB back compat PS3 in the basement. Probably the best 100% legal way to play the old games aside from having the original hardware.

@GamingFan4Lyf I did the same. Upgraded the hard drive with my left-over old PS4 drive, easiest swap I've ever done, all the system info is on-boarded separately. Just format and download.Total no brainer. And the PS store is still mostly intact for digital purchases. Now if I can get the fan-noise down to something less than a Boeing 747...I'll be quite happy.

These games weren't as good as Playstation fanboys would like to believe they were.

When people replay these games I expect people won't be as delighted as they are hoping. Same with Tomb Raider really.

I haven't seen any of SR2 in the collection and don't know what (if any) supplemental content will be in here

@Sensechat The first SR was an accomplishment for a lot of reasons. I'll be playing this on my Switch, and owned SR on PS1 and DC. I'm not sure that makes me a fanboy.

I'll probably pick these up in a sale. As much as I like my nostalgic trips down memory lane I feel that this series of games deserved a full remake rather than a new luck of paint. A much squandered opportunity again...
