Browse a Colossal Library of Classic US Video Game Magazines Now 1

The Video Game History Foundation has opened its digital library, which includes thousands of classic video game magazines, archived in their entirety with full text search support.

The project – which also expands to other pieces of ephemera, such as old event guides, tips books, and press materials – spans over 30,000 hand curated files, with more to come. It’s an absolute treasure trove of valuable gaming content.

“After years of collecting, cataloguing, and digitising video game history materials, the VGHF is finally opening the virtual doors to its library – wherever you are,” the Foundation said in a statement.

Obviously, the resource is free to use for everyone to use, although donations are being accepted if you’d like to support the project.

Among the magazines you may want to peruse, the entire print run of Game Informer is included, as well as hundreds of issues of the Official US PlayStation Magazine.

While we largely grew up on the UK publications here at Push Square, gaming mags have had a huge influence on how we run the site, so finding all of these issues archived and preserved in a modern format is wonderful to see.
