Alas, another State of Play has come and gone without the barest hint of Bloodborne, and long-suffering Hunters have inevitably done what they do best, taking to social media to post through the pain. With the deeply influential, beloved FromSoftware title's 10th anniversary next month, as well as a recent string of DMCA takedown requests from Sony related to the IP, even the most masochistic fans are starting to grapple with the prospect of a life without any more Bloodborne.
IGN corralled a hilarious collection of memes and social media interactions that adequately portray the absolute state of Bloodborne fandom. We live in a timeline in which Days Gone Remastered exists, after all, the reveal of which appears to have severed the final strand of sanity left to many long-suffering hopefuls:

While I understand how much it sucks to be a big fan of something that eventually just goes away, at this point it's probably best for them to just accept that it probably won't ever happen.

I've made peace with Bloodborne being added to the abandoned by Sony pile. I'm actually more confident with Bloodborne 2 being made as all that would require is Miyazaki going to Sony and telling them I want to make Bloodborne 2 now, please and thank you.
It is ironic to see Days Gone get the PS5 treatment, given its reputation of an unwanted step-child in the Sony family, whereas Bloodborne is the critical darling golden child and fan favorite.

@breakneck @NeonTiger same, I love the game, but the discourse is beyond ridiculous. The game is still well accessible and in good quality for those who want to play it (yes, 30 FPS is well playable) and there are plenty of soulsborne likes that can hold a cup to it. Also, it's not a story that screams for a sequel either if anybody is out for that.
I guess Sony crunched the numbers and figured there would be to little interest to make it worthwhile?
Why do people keep expecting any sort of Bloodborne news? If it happens, it happens, but this whole getting their hopes up for no reason and then whinging about out afterwards is beyond tedious at this point.

30fps is literally unplayable to me and many others - newer TV workings is one of the major reasons, but also sub 60fps issues have always been there (well, at least since after CRTs) - people just didnt know that was the cause.
10 mins of game playing on a game that is not more or less locked 60fps and I get headaches and/or feel sick.
It is so bad I do not buy a game unless I see a demo / it has a clean bill of health from the likes of DF etc.
Im not a Bloodborne fan at all but would like to see a 60fps remaster - Im fairly sure it will come at some point, but maybe only when needed by Sony (eg PS6). They know people want it at this stage.
I'm still convinced this is scheduled to come, but Sony want to do it properly, like Demon's Souls, with a proper remake style remaster, which takes time. But I think they should have given a simple 60fps patch at the start of the gen. Likely too late now if another version is coming, you don't want to cannibalise sales.

Yes, I’m aware that bloodborne came from the PS4. I’m just stating that there’s been a ton of IP’s that they’ve dropped and ignored.
Yes it would be great to see a remake, but the game remains remarkable and beautiful. It also remains dirt cheap and playable on both PS4 and PS5. So if you will forgive me, what the heck are they whinging for? Go and play it. Its a great experience as is. Twas my one and only platinum, and forever will be
@Rich33 sorry to hear that it makes you ill. Playing Goldeneye with frames dropping in the single digit range, and playing on low spec PCs for most of my life perhaps made me immune to low frame rates.
Bloodborne is not for a niche demographic. As a reminder, Elden Ring sold more copies in its opening weekend than TLOU2 sold over the span of 2 years.
At this point, the only thing that makes sense is Sony planning to release a remake or BB2 for PS6 launch
@NeonTiger Nah. Never. Until they do something with it, I will keep being disappointed with SoPs, keep downvoting in polls, keep expressing my disappointment with Sony. Does that impact my life at all? Nope, it does not.
But until I see some life injected into the GOAT of IPs, Sony can't do anything, anything at all that will satisfy me. I simply care for very little beyond Bloodborne as far as gaming is concerned these days. And I'll never keep quiet about it.

What we'll receive at the end of March is the usual annual "Return to Yharnam" fan gathering call, for all to join the game for its anniversary, but that's about it...
It's still up to fans to entertain fans for at least 1 more year, until Sony manages to address the hole they've left in their own catalog after spending billions trying to find GaaS gold mines...
Played recently and really disliked the long runbacks.
I do wonder if Bluepoint will be put on this now that their God of War game was cancelled. That said, if Shu was correct and Sony is just leaving it alone until From Software gets around to doing something with it, we may be waiting a long, if not indefinite, amount of time.

Remember that Shuhei Yoshida said that Bloodborne is too special for Miyazaki and that anything new has to be with him & FROM on board.
Maybe now that From is done with Elden Ring the only thing holding this back would be the rumoured new ip and/or DLC for Armored Core 6 (YES, PLEASE)
It's really just generational copium at this point. It's not like the game isn't already easily available.
